I dont think so really in the grand scheme of things, they always blamed the devastation of the 87 storm on the relentless rain in September.
and Ive been cycling long enough to have a a good database of stats, and December was pretty much normal in terms of outside miles completed, which means the weather was about average for this time of year, because Im not daft enough to ride when its too windy, too wet or too icy.
the difference really is I think like weve had every day since Christmas day, and days before too, the Met Office have issued dire weather warnings for Suffolk, and todays really the first day since then its warranted it, but then it feels like youre constantly being battered by the weather because all the news youre picking is theres another named storm going to hit. | | | |
