Not in terms of age, but in terms of who has been on here the longest.

unstableblue posted recently about being onhere for 24 years, about the same for me, but it just seems most on here now are new (ish).

Any more of the old guard out there?

RIP Sir Bobby

I can’t recall what the subject was but he was asking for advice about something under an anonymous username. He then tried to link his next post to a website but posted a link to a document on his hard drive with his name exposed as part of the url.
A complete meltdown ensued and of course the usual TWTD mickey taking didn’t help.

Damn! I missed that.

I've been on since about 1997 or 8, but I'm blowed if I can remember what my posting name was in those days!

I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned the notorious Newmarket_Blue. One of my favourite posters in the early days was Wim Burley who posted sensibly but generally optimistically.

That Ixworth Blue was so much more sensible than modern posters like Factual Blue.

I think 98 for me, go through spells of not posting much and occasionally not reading much as well.

Favourite threads in that time are probably Joe Royle ruined my wedding and in more recent times LL having no idea who RKD was.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Newmarket was excellent fun.

He did live with his mum though.

Haverhillnumberone was the other stand out poster from the earlier years I was here. Incredible guy.

Posting as EalingBlue I was the first poster on the new rivals board. Gav gave me a telling off....

If you’re a newbie then I haven’t a clue what I am.

Floated around the past 6/7 years but only been a regular forum poster since the end of 2017. Still don’t think I’ve made a worthwhile post as yet.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Incredible is just the beginning. Malcolm was the biggest, dodgiest village idiot imaginable.

Benters can only dream.

But yes, Newmie was a great poster. I think I disagreed with almost everything he said but he was sharp and funny so it didn't matter.

I jumped in in 2009 after lurking for a couple of years. I did buy the first copy of TWTD the fanzine, I remember the Chris Kiwomya "You Know When You've Been Tangooed" Poster that I had on my wall for years. TWTD was the new kid on the block that then, you already had A Load Of Cobbolds and Dribble! It's alright being online from whenever but I bought the first ever copy of Those Were The Days and that was long before Phil was running it.

I think I first discovered TWTD in 2004. Passed the time at work!

I genuinely didn't know forums existing back then.

I don't think I had semi regular access to the internet until 1998, and I had to visit the uni IT rooms for that!

Yes think you are right. I think it was to do when BNP member lists accidently got leaked online and names and addresses were published and allegedly he was one of those listed.

Mid to late 90s - pre rivals.

Posted as Lingfield Blue. Changed username when I moved away from Lingfield.

I believe CITB did the daily summary,
Remember vestanpance, there were a few Town fans in London posting here.

Pre-Twitter and much more fun (sadly).

Mid 90's?

It was a paper fanzine for a few years before it went online.
I remember being 13 or 14 at the time and having cartoons published in TWTD paper edition across a few issues.

Mention of Malcolm has made me wonder who has had the most user names on TWTD. Can recall a post match meltdown where he posted under at least two other handles on the same thread.

Wasn't there an issue when the Sir Alf statue was installed about whether TWTD could still be sold at that spot?

I thought there was some confusion whether to go with the statue of Sir Alf or one of Phil holding a copy of TWTD at the time.

I think that has somehow jogged my memory about when I first bought a copy of TWTD, the magazine. Must have been the Sergeant Pepper's pastiche cover - end of the 1997/98 season? Probably started posting on the forum or whatever it was called back then the following year.
