I'm sorry you have to deal with such incompetent and mendacious bellends in a professional capacity Phil.

And what about his dealings with Ipswich Town FC?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

No response to me.

Bit gutted really as I was hoping this would be resolved and I could watch the Portsmouth game.

Judging by that statement it seems like it's purely to keep Lambert sweet that Phil is banned. Incredibly petty.

Interesting to read this thread as no one at the club has contacted me about this this week and agree with you that the way they're speaking about it does make my exclusion sound more permanent than was previously suggested.

Further to the point re forums, the Norwich papers run the Pink 'Un forum, which when I've read it seems rather less moderated than TWTD, and I'm sure there are other larger media companies running similar.

Also again ignores that I'm a journalist with a press card and an NUJ member who also works as a freelancer for other media.

Evans: "That got me thinking about harmony at our club. Every fan, player, coach, manager, owner all want the same thing - success. When that doesn’t happen, it inevitably leads to tensions."

No local media Marcus? Hmm.

At this point being banned by the club is indicative that you're doing your job well.

Appalling behavior, can I say I'm surprised? No, it's been a downward spiral ever since Evans took over this club.

This is going to make the whole situation worse than it is, as it's clearly Lambert that has the issue with Phil, and PL doesn't have much credit in the back with the fans, I say credit, he's well in the red, which will make the atmosphere even worse.

It was a real opportunity to try and build a bridge, they have just burnt it down without a care in the world.

This won't end well at all.

Regardless of our personal feelings on this matter, it never ever ends well when managers start banning journalists, unless you are Sir Alex Ferguson and beyond reproach.

It's the sign of a man who can't cope, bearing in mind he doesn't feel pressure and has played for big clubs, it shows how thin skinned he is.

He is as big a dinosaur as Mick McCarthy was, and has recent experience of managing in the PL when the press commitments are 10 times worse - but that is more public......it's clear he feels the media here, like Mick did, is below his lofty perch. The sooner he is gone the better

Yep, pretty much reiterates LON's (incorrect) claims from before. I see it qualifies the bit about TWTD being the only independent website being allowed press access by adding that it "includes a supporter driven forum" which I really don't think is true either (or if it is it's stupidly specific to the point of not mattering), and they only say that they "possibly" know that anyway.

Seems like the club are in 'easing tensions' mode today having gone in two footed on the fanbase from a number of angles over the last few weeks. Pathetic response really from the club on this as it suggests he's still banned but can pick up quotes from other people, which is put across in a 'and he's lucky to be doing that' type way.

It sounds to me, reading between the lines, that it's the forum that bothers them. And they're punishing Phil for what's been said on here.

I was only joking when I said they're probably pissed off with Bluefish!

Received my generic email.

They have absolutely NO clue on customer relations and for all the flannel in the email, have missed the WHOLE point of the barrage of emails they received, which was to basically to treat Phil with the same respect they afford to other reporters.

Funny thing is, it would've been such an easy win to ease the tensions, get a bit of the support back onside, and even get more money in the coffers if Marcus had popped "I'll be letting Phil back" in his apology. If Phil's getting all the info anyway, the only change would be his physical presence.

Lambert must be hurting bad and doesn't even want to see Phil's shiny bonce.

ITFC's stance doesn't change, then neither does mine.

I'll support the team, and follow the scores each Saturday, but i will not spend a single penny with ITFC.

This was the first season in many without a ST for me. I actually felt bad not renewing with the COVID situation...how i wish I'd not had those feelings because right now I'm so angry with the club.

Fortunately I've not missed the football as much as I thought i would, and although i would consider a ST again, i won't while PL is manger of the club and the club continues to behave as it is currently doing.

Facking hell this is p1ss weak.

"Indeed the EFL has informed us that we are possibly the only League club, including Premier League, that gives media access to an independent website that includes a supporter driven forum."

Though I read the last statement as meaning that they mean "no change" to working closely with Phil/TWTD and maintaining access to everything, apart from manager pressers.

Had the same

I see it as this is a community, quite a big community of people who support ITFC. Phil is the figurehead and represntative of that community, and a moderate face of it too.

The Club is telling me they don't want that community, so in that case they won't get me or my money as part of that community.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

My reply to it...

Dear club representative,

You have written a generic email that does not address my concerns personally. I specifically asked you not to write a generic reply, so to do so demonstrates a real lack of care. It is quite clear that you have not read my email.

I am no longer just concerned about the treatment of Phil Ham, but also the treatment of other media outlet representatives.

I wish to put it on record that, prior to Covid19 I would regularly attend away matches with my uncle and cousin. I will no longer do this, nor will I spend any money with the club henceforth.

Furthermore, you are not the only club that allows independent media into press conferences. I know Man It's and Liverpool do of the top of my head. This is also not some sort of achievement that you need me to recognise.

The fact that there is a forum has no bearing on how the news platform should be treated. You brandishing of this incorrect point only serves to highlight your contempt for the support base that has been demonstrated in equal measure by Paul Lambert and Marcus Evans in recent weeks.

Sincerely and in anticipation of a personal response,

Their reply...

"Dear ...,

I will passed this on to the relevant department as I do not deal directly with these matters but the enquiry emails and replies."
