Crappest ITFC performances this century 14:06 - Mar 17 with 4881 views | Dubtractor | Where does last night sit in the scheme of things? I think given the level we are at, and standard of opposition, that was right up there as one of the very worst. Other stand outs off the top of my head are the 7-1 vs Peterborough and that Bolton game. Prob the two Norwich drubbings too.

Crappest ITFC performances this century on 14:09 - Mar 17 with 2228 views | BlueBadger | Sheffield Wednesday at home springs to mind, as does home to Newcastle for 'Sir Bobby' day where we were humiliated on national TV and got the first true inklings that Keane was NOT the man for the job.

Crappest ITFC performances this century on 14:13 - Mar 17 with 2216 views | tractorboy1978 | Last night really hit me for some reason even though we've seen so many spineless, gutless performances over the years. I think it was the culmination of the recent Gillingham game, getting ourselves into the top 6, results going our way at KO and then just not turning up when any decent team would be sniffing blood and bang up for it.
Crappest ITFC performances this century on 14:14 - Mar 17 with 2208 views | LankHenners | The Fleetwood home game last season was pretty bleak as it was totally gutless whilst they passed it around for fun. There were several awful ones under Lambert that were similar but that one stands out for me.

Yeah I think there is real anger amongst town fans today. Rightfully so.
Crappest ITFC performances this century on 14:18 - Mar 17 with 2186 views | SomethingBlue | Last night was right up there for me because it was a big opportunity to suggest we can really take this season somewhere — but we just didn't lay a glove on a thoroughly average side, and that is putting it very kindly. Absolutely derelict performance. [Post edited 17 Mar 2021 14:19]

The worrying thing is that Pompey is an even bigger game - a real, genuine 6 pointer against a side who will have a new manager. And we bottle every single big occasion, absolutely no faith we will turn up and get 3 points.

Crappest ITFC performances this century on 14:32 - Mar 17 with 2105 views | Steve_M | A few off the top off my head to compare: - Bolton (a) 2002; the only one on this list I wasn't at but has to be right at the top of any list, probably with Grimsby a few months later. - Southampton (h) 2002; - Reading (a) 2002; - Wimbledon (h) 2003; - Charlton (a) 2007; - Newcastle (h) 2010; - Norwich (h) 2011; - Southampton (h) 2011; - Peterborough (a) 2011; - Charlton (h) 2012; - Bolton (h) 2018; - Middlesbrough (h) 2018; - Lincoln (a) 2019; - Peterborough (h) 2020; - Swindon (h) 2021; - Northampton (h) 2021; - Fleetwood (a) 2021. It's been largely downhill since the Summer of 2001, failure starting from the top with the ineptness of Sheepshanks and Evans.

Crappest ITFC performances this century on 15:16 - Mar 17 with 1915 views | patrickswell | The 4-1 loss at Millwall under Jewell in October 2011 is the worst I’ve seen in the flesh. 2 down in the opening 15 minutes, around 7 over 30s started the match, Liam Feeney tore Mark Kennedy apart, Jimmy Bullard got us back to 2-1 with 25 minutes to go at which point we utterly collapsed. It would have been 6-1 to Millwall too except they somehow contrived to hit the crossbar with a shot from virtually underneath it, and David Stockdale pulled off a remarkable save when the ball was already past him.

Not an ounce of fight in any of it. They just do not care. Time to offer those big wages (for this level) to 11-15 players who will do the job and leave them to the likes of Colchester and Southend where they belong.

We still haven't got over that game. Had we won they would have been relegated instead of Town

Crappest ITFC performances this century on 16:14 - Mar 17 with 1722 views | itfc_bucks | the most worrying thing is, each of the games listed here were f**king awful, but yet they've managed to just blur into one long period of sheidt. Peterborough and Grimsby are the two that leap out at me as being "the worst", but for sheer gutlessness, last night was up there.

I don't think that they don't care; they care at the very least about their reputations and their careers, and I think most will also care about the club to a greater or lesser degree. I think it's more like a contagious infection of negativity and fear, which keeps going around the squad and, to put it in contemporary terms, you don't develop any immunity to this one. So it becomes almost impossible to break the cycle and banish the virus. Hopefully lots of coffee and a Cookie is the magic remedy.
