Haha, I get your point but it's more about:
- Opportunity to really minimise the wage budget with amount of players out of contract
- Sell of our assets i.e young players who may retain some sort of value - Downes etc.
- Close the academy (as noted by others on here)
I don't know what it would take to get the club running on a self-sustaining basis at this level or how plausible it would be but that could well be an intention of the new owners. | | | |

And I agree with that sentiment. ME in place and season ticket announcement would be catastrophic for club income. If all goes as told it will look a bit suspect that the timing of all of this was coincidental. Someone mentioned to me before that a change of manager would happen in sync with season tickets so I wonder if this was a long term plan before lambert had to be cut off. This is very much a case of adding various parts of stories together to get a sum that would result in a marketing payday for town but heaven knows how season ticket sales will go with so little guarantees, and such abject performance. | | | |

In fact I suggest you are now not being accurate with the truth as from what i have seen you have constantly said you want this takeover to happen and think it is a risk worth taking. That's fair enough and I wasn't having a go at you but just think people should be aware of the risk and what could be jeopardized in future....and here is another risk...potential to ever be a category 1 academy club.
Even Ryorry pointed out in a post to you that some people are more risk aversive and those that aren't and have more of a gambling nature. Again nothing wrong with this per se but it's a valid point she put to you.

Those are two very different stances. It's not the first time you've pushed this idea that i'm prepared to take any risk to get rid of Evans. My position, as I have stated repeatedly, is that from the limited info we have (we're never going to have a full dossier on any takeover group) I am happy to take the risk. I would not be happy to take any risk at all. In this specific instance I have looked at the info available and considered the overwhelmingly likely alternative (more of Evans running the club in the exact same way he has since he arrived) and decided that for me the club NEEDS this.
You have misquoted me repeatedly. There is a massive difference in what you and CM keep saying I have said and what I actually say. If you are doing it without meaning to then I would politely ask for you to stop from now on and give my actual view. I will also happily apologise for my comments which were out of complete frustration at people keep claiming I would happily risk the future of the club to get rid of Evans. That is not the case.
I am fully aware any takeover comes with risk. I don't see enough risk here to reject this takeover.

The best analogy i've come up with is that we're on the Titanic having just hit an iceberg and people are refusing to get on rescue boats in case they sink.

Being a Town fan really is depressing, innit.
If that had been me who'd traipsed up to Rochdale on Easter Monday to watch that, the Club would've been sold for a fiver today. Evans' persistence is truly baffling.
