What i think is Gamechanger are trying to force Evans hand, the deal on the table is acceptable. I think and like Phil said he doesn't want to sell, and why would he if financially he can afford to keep owning the club.
Think of it from a selfish point of view, If im happy to keep the expensive hobby, i really wouldn't sell the club in league one.

My only issue with that is why let it get this far down the line. We know from various journalists, including Phil, that it got to the stage of being with the EFL for ratification.
I'm leading towards either things just generally taking longer than expected, for example, EFL checks as well as price negotiation. Or/and Evans changing his wants slightly when we hit the good run of form and looked like we had a chance of changing division. But maybe this is partly me just wanting it to go through. I guess all the dots will never add up from the outside looking in and we just have to wait. Very frustrating though when something you feel could be good for the club is potentially so close. | | | |

If he was concerned with 'fame' he could have been much more vague. He already had credit in the bank from before. He could have said something like "my source suggests it's not entirely dead", but no, he's give two specific days less than a week away from the OP. Usually when people are looking for attention they throw the date way into the future to milk it dry. |

Anyone can be vague. The purpose of actually providing info that helps the cause is the ability to be specific. I have received contact that gives those specific dates. The fact that this thread covers more topics, opinions, tangents, arguments and questioning than I could ever of imagined is a bit beyond me.

I think I've probably been a bit naive with the twittersphere and just assumed that others had got things from their own sources. I'm also not going to say that is impossible.

To be fair to greyhound, you could say the exact same thing about Phil’s sources, couldn’t you?
Not saying I believe it’s imminent, any more than I believe it’s faltering to the point of collapse, I’m just saying that whether def info is def or not, no one’s going to tell you their sources if they ever want to have any def info in the future - and presumably someone has to break NDAs for either side of this to start trickling out.

The clever point you think you’re making here is in fact the opposite. Quite obviously, for the exact reason you state, Greyhound would not answer such a question and cause himself more trouble than it was worth.
I’ve posted three bits of defo info on here myself. 1 turned out to not happen (Dozzell to Scum). The other two did (Norwood about 4 months before being our main target in the following summer and that Wilder was leaving Sheffield United). I could’ve quite easily explained how I knew the latter was happening. But that would’ve caused me more problems than it was worth. To say some details and let people join the dots is often worth more than outright stating something as fact. Greyhound believes his info to be true. His info in the past has been true. I’m prep to give him the benefit of the doubt. To use his lack of the details as a stick to beat him with is, at best naive, at worst grossly unfair. [Post edited 6 Apr 2021 23:05]

Agreed, it might be right it might be wrong but I think its genuine. Of course it's possible the source is wrong or misinformed or indeed something gas again changed but strikes me as GH is just trying to share what he can.

Young Rommy was and remains wise but I would like to ask if you've changed your mind about the people who said not renewing was the way to fight? You mocked us quite mercilessly! You may still think it was stupid and if so, fair play, but look where we are. Not blaming people who renewed, just pointing out there is never a good time for the fans to make a stand and renewed calls for people to boycott (if they WANT to) are being met with resistance again. |
Hmmm it’s an interesting one as I currently don’t plan to renew (predominately because I’m rather hopeful I’ll be living in a house, potentially in Scotland). Evans has angered me to the extent where I cancelled way back (the week Phil was banned to be specific).
I think I mocked the idea that the fans should suffer by not doing something they enjoyed just because some bloke is running the club and doing it badly. However, I’ve then realised this year that I don’t miss it that much and it’s for the greater good if it influences Evans out even if just a slight bit. | |

My old man did a chopper transfer from one platform to another, he got off and handed his mate a laptop that was going to make its way back for me, it was something like 10 mins later that all crew died in a crash.
My dad quit his job when he got home and never flew in a helicopter again.
Knowing you were on something that had a catastrophic failure minutes afterwards was pretty hard on him, plus losing a couple of his mates.

My history teacher back at school once told us about the bus that got blown up for 7/7. As is the way in London, two came along at once. As the front one was full enough, he got the second one in a split second decision. He was 100 yards behind the first bus on bus 2 but sitting on the front seat of the top deck when the bus in front exploded right in front of his eyes minutes after making the decision to go on the second of the two.
