Is Fraser better than Bishop? on 10:39 - Jul 15 by Simonds92
Goals from open play last year:
Fraser 5 in 44 games Bishop 4 in 36 games
Not saying Fraser isn't a decent signing but it depends how you interpret stats. I obviously also dont know how many of the 9 penalties he won himself. Im just pretty disappointed Bishop isn't going to get a chance in a better team as there is still definitely a very good player there for me.
Also... we dont know as footage moved on. But even in his YouTube video there is possibly 5 pens won following a pass played by Fraser

Fraser's dashboard shows him doing a lot more than scoring pens:
Those progressive passes/final 3rd passes are quite something ...

If Bishop wasn’t an academy graduate, this question would not even be asked. Best move for all parties.
If Bishop does rip it up at MK, there’s no guarantee he would do the same if he stayed here. Good luck to him.
Bishop was a key player in a top 6 Championship side aged 18, he hasn't kicked on and it's undoubtedly the case that Fraser's now consistently better, but I think it's a fair question beyond "we love our academy kids".
I doubt there is a huge amount in it - but Bishop a bad fit for a Cook system and probably needs a fresh start.
A fit and firing Bishop is as good as any player in this league, and he seems to be over his injury problems......but he is an 8 and Cook wants 2 6s and a 10.
MK play a system that shows off their midfielders - some of Fraser's stats are articiailly inflated by the style they played.
But he is a player who has operated as a top player in this league for 2-3 seasons, and is an excellent signing. It 100% improves us.
Sad to see Teddy go, but think it's a good thing for everyone

A surer thing at the moment, I would say. I do have a nagging feeling that Bish is going to rip it up at MK, to be honest. But you can't wait on people forever and ITFC need to move on.
Bishop might rip it up for one or two games over a three year period, but
- Look at his goal return and assists compared to Scott Fraser. - His injury record and completed 90mins.
I think he’s just one of those players that won’t reach their natural potential for a variety of reasons. Very much time for him to move on.

I think time will tell, but surely it will be a resounding 'Yes'? on 11:36 - Jul 15 with 1009 views
Fraser just strike me as being a different character, a different drive and energy, and stats that make you think his movement, passing and assists will be focussed much more on going forward than Teddy
Perhaps more physical.
I'm beginning to get very excited now... who would want to face Burns, Fraser, and Penney coming at them?
Good start against Morecombe, get some momentum and confidence into the team

I see your point but goals are goals whether there of ya ass , head, knee or a penalty , he's still scored more in one season than bish is 5 years .
goals win games however they go in .
I'm glad he's on board

Bishop could really thrive at MK Dons, style will suit, and if Dons… on 12:42 - Jul 15 with 920 views

Get a striker they could actually threaten play offs - play a great style, and he’s a manager who will perhaps will manage at the highest level

Staggering isn’t it, in a week that we’ve had with England, has there ever been a more adequate time to state - penalties still have to be scored!
The irony is that some penalties don’t help your statistics. Maguire buried his in the final, but still comes away from the tournament with just his header registered in his goals column. (Whereas Kane fluffed one earlier In the competition,... but still snuffled a goal out of it.)

Fraser has 30 goals and 27 assists over the past 3 seasons I believe. Seriously impressive and two of those seasons were playing for a poor to bang average Burton side. MK Dons were decent last year but you'd still expect him to get more opportunity in dangerous areas here than there.

Noticed something too about Fraser
Appears comfortable from deep Comfortable on the left Comfortable higher up
He's also the sort of player that makes defenders frightened of tackling him, cos he can wriggle past them from a tight position. Got a bit of the Raheem Stirlings about him, maybe not quite that good but!

You make a good point. We've not been a team that has been awarded many pens in recent seasons. A lot of that has to be down to a lack of players able to run at defenders.

Great post. I know you've followed his career for an age and wouldn't blame you for being disappointed. Clearly a very good player in there if he can stay fit but like you say, it's the best option for everyone.
