Lots of talk about needing a marquee signing. Not needing a marquee signing. What on earth is a marquee signing.
Interested in who people think meets the following criteria:
1) Is a big enough name to warrant the term 'marquee'.
2) Would fit into our current set up?
3) Would want to join us?
4) Is feasible for us to sign based on wages/budget etc.
Personally not convinced there's a huge number that meet all of those criteria but interested to see who people do think fits the bill. |  |

Maybe not. 23 starts in all competitions last season, but they do have a new manager in, so he may see Yates as his main striker.
I imagine we could definitely compete with Blackpool wage wise. I recently read that they may be looking at offloading a few players to give the new manager some transfer funds, so they would maybe tempted to sell if the fee was right.
Ultimately we don’t know if he could be tempted, but let’s not forget, Morsy and Chaplin just to name a few were playing regular Championship football and still stepped down. | | | |

Depends on how you class ‘marquee’
Is Celina ‘marquee’ because he’s shown pure talent in the Championship in the past, and offers some European flair.
Elliot Anderson would be considered marquee for many League One teams because he has interest from Championship sides.
If you want a true ‘marquee’ signing (which by the way I don’t think any League 1 side has made since we got relegated) then you are looking at someone who would comfortably fit in every Championship side, and you’ve played a blinder and got them down to League 1.
If you take that stance, then Ben Sheaf and Tyrese Campbell are the two that you put right at the top of the ‘marquee’ wishlist |  |

Why would you uproot your young family unless the money was good? He made a small fortune at Bristol City too so won't be going anywhere unless someone comes in with a very good contract.
