Because lots of the Govt and scientist backed restrictions were clearly bonkers - go out for dinner but you have to wear a mask to walk to the toilet, if you come back from this country you need a test, but if you fly there then on to someone else and home you don’t need one, that you could work with someone all day but not go for a walk with them.
The point is clear - the Govt and scientists make decisions, some don’t make sense and you can either choose to follow them, or choose not to, but it’s no different to think their scientific approach on drugs is outdated/wrong compared to their one on covid - both have clear holes in |

You are giving Joe Joe too much credit to say my belief in drug legalisation is analogous with what he was saying in dismissing Covid restrictions. But yeah, I'm generally in favour of the Covid restrictions. That's not about government, it's about science (and largely logic). If we applied science to both then most of the restrictions saved lives... and decriminalisation of certain drugs (and allowing quality versions) would also save lives and cut crime. | |

It probably depends on the quantities taken of each drug. Both are highly addictive to certain individuals, and both are harmful to health. Addicts will neglect their health and wellbeing regardless. | |
