It’s awkward how it looks like certain fellas on here only care about the the comfort and safety of women so long as it allows them to bash transgender folk.
How else do you explain them being Very Concerned about the comfort and safety of women when policing who is in which sports team, public toilet or changing room, while simultaneously being completely outraged by the suggestion that “oi oi pop ‘em out luv” isn’t something most women like to hear at any time, let alone while they’re at work.
Double standards, off the scale double standards, which exposes their actual motivation.

I wasn’t debating the financial penalty but a couple on this thread seem to think that chant is ok. The financial penalty is immaterial- just don’t chant that. |

I was told the same, I think to help develop a thick skin and not get upset at everything people said. Which in itself is no bad thing, not being over sensitive to comment/criticism.
But the flip side of course is that the saying is utter bollox, clearly. People calling black people "coons" or "wogs" are clearly going to cause upset and hurt. Same with the many homophobic slurs. They do hurt people and tbh they clearly did back in the 70s when they were used without fear of being called out.
Now why anyone thinks shouting sexist juviline cr×p at girls or women should be tolerated I don't know. What you think of as banter is almost certainly not seen as banter.
Not hard really, though I guess it does require people to consider the impact of their words rather than hiding behind "sticks and stones..." in the belief that is a get out for saying whatever they want. |  |

Only adding that over the course of history swearing and insults have changed with society. Those fearing change need to accept that “Get your tits out…” hasn’t been around since the dawn of time and like every other insult/joke before it, needs to disappear when outdated and unacceptable.
There’s a good series on Netflix with Nicolas Cage on the history of swearing that would give some context but I’m guessing education isn’t a high priority for those on here needing it. |  |
