I agree, I think Foster was pretty good, good voice for the role at times. But I'm not sure he had the personality and energy for a matchday announcer, and their were a few errors. Murphy seems to have that energy and passion - let's see how he does pitchside. But seems a good move.
Again just another indicator that the club is being run right, I think we all liked Foster, but at the same time thought he wasn't hitting the mark. And again the club make change and incremental improvement. |  |

Definitely an improvement on Stephen Foster, who, as said numerous times before, is a local broadcasting legend, but he didn’t translate well to stadium announcing.
Mark Murphy is a good step in the right direction, and I’m sure he’ll do it his way to match star standard set by Rob C.
Interesting that they didn’t ask Rob C back…. He and one or two others weren’t sacked, simply not asked back after Covid. |  |

Sounds like a positive change, and good to see that the club have kept with a more 'traditional' appointment, rather than either moving Dave Vance over from the Fanzone, or getting an equivalent on board. | |

Was a bit of both, they didn't get back in touch after Covid and he decided he wanted to go back to the stands anyway. I believe the more recent approach to him was last year rather than this summer. |  | | |

I like Murph, but man, if only Chandler did decide to come back again - the bloke was perfect at the job.

Chandler was the man for me. Real shame he didn't come back, because much as though I'm enjoying Life's a Pitch on YT, Murphy doesn't have the voice for stadium announcer like Chandler (or even Foz) did. |  |
