That's from Phils take and what I felt I'd heard.
It's not a massive thing so I don't wanna derail this thread. But I just personally dont see it as a lovely positive comment when it's countered by that budget talk.
But it's pure and utter personal opinion, so happy to be solo on this. |
I think you have genuinely misheard what he said. I don't think you are deliberately misinterpreting his comments but he did say "They’ve got a really good budget in League One, they got in the Championship". His tone does trail off with that last part so it's an easy mistake to make. |  |

Without going too forensic on this 😅 I believe Mick provides the clue in the first part of his sentence. He pronounces and forms the 'it' sound in "budg - et - in" in the same way he does the 'it' sound in "got - it - in". | | | |

TBH 99% of what he said is belittled by that comment about budgets imo.
Take away the budget talk and it's much better and much more respectable.
i personally don't like it when budgets are brought into the conversation because imo it's like saying hes a good manager but lets be honest it helps that he's got a nice budget. Very pompy Cowley like comments. |

Actually, to be fair you could be right, watching it without sub-titles there is a hint of a 't' in there.
There is a phenomenom whereby you can hear different things when listening to the same spoken word, but when reading differnt things.
