RIP I still think the Turkey qualifier in 2003 I think was one of the finest England performances I’ve seen, plus he have us the 5-1 and the victory against Croatia in 2004 which was another good performance
Sad news. England didn't succeed as we have done in recent tournaments under him, but in the desert of success between Sir Bobby's boys of Italia '90 and Gareth Southgate he was an oasis of good memories, especially that result in Munich.
His documentary is moving too and well worth a watch.

RIP Sven a football gentleman and a Sir Bobby Robson disciple , he loved Ipswich and learned a great deal from our Sir Bobby , I’m led to believe he wanted England to play at Portman Road and put forward the option to the FA during his England days ……and hey presto it happened .

I don't think he'd have minded you relating the story, he always came across as having a gsoh, but I'd add that gentlemanly conduct, wit and charm are also popular attributes with ladies!

Lol very much so .one of his ladies found out she was one of five ladies he was seeing at the same time definitely multi talented.
There was a nice interview in the Swedish papers with Sven-Göran's father, drinking coffee outside the café in the village, as he does two or three times a week. He said it's going to be strange now, going to watch the local village team, Torsby, without Sven-Göran, as that's what they've been doing for the last few years. He's 95.
