Agreed as good a window as it has been we knew we needed a quality striker from the very start so to have not added that and had the injury to Hirst for several weeks means we have messed up someone and relied on Broja being done for too long.
Hoping this is KMc just deflecting and not fully upto speed as this would be so unlike our recruitment in the last few windows at such a critical time too. | | | |

We've needed a striker all summer. AAH needs a year on loan, Hirst is quite injury prone, Delap is young and only has 1 full proper season playing regular senior football. To not get someone in that number 9 shirt today would be very worrying. | | | |

Tbf we’ve known about striker targets all summer, Fotis, Broja etc
It’s not like they’ve not been aware of the fact we needed one. Not much the club can do other than try get the deals done.

It isn't as though there are hundreds of prem quality number 9s available and want to play for Ipswich.
