I had heard tales of a group of women who on ONE occasion got involved in a large melee in London either late 70s or early 80s.
That was from 2 sources;
1. Random fella in his early 20s on a train back from Nottingham 82 or 83
2. Someone I played Sunday Morning football with in mid-80s who was a convicted football hooligan, and very active home & away

IIRC - the incident is a midweek game at Spurs and form some reason Millwall were there.

The only other fragment from my fragmented recollections of 40 odd years ago is that the "leader" was called Julie, blonde from London / Essex.

All of the above could of course be a figment of my imagination or details completely wrong.

There are others who post on here who are a little older or maybe "active" at the time.

I vaguely remember standing outside the north stand, waiting for the gates to open, before a Norwich game. A few Norwich supporters were waiting for their gate to open and a group of girls appeared and took their scarves from them. I also seem to remember said scarves were later burnt while hanging from the rafters. This would have been early 80s.
