You say it’s a worry, on paper it’s a Sweden international and not too long back England regular. They’re probably our 2 best paid central midfielders at the club, not that it means they’re the best pairing, but a couple of months ago it wasn’t unthinkable that it might ultimately be our partnership this season.
I’m more worried about the back 4 tbh.
Quite. Two players on the books of Man City and Napoli, with Champions League/international experience.
No point sh!tting ourselves. Obviously not the ideal line up, but obviously the best we can put out in the eyes of McKenna. And we have Delap, Burns, Broadhead and Clarke off the bench. What will be, will be.
I'm just looking forward to seeing how some of last years legends get on today.
Exciting. Enjoy it, don't stress.
I suspect injuries have forced most of the changes, so don't let the omissions stress you out.
I get that but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I love it.
It would be good to see partnerships working all over the pitch and I think there is far less of a gap from the Prem to the Championship than some suggest. Palace and Wolves aren't exactly showing their dominance over us and Leicester.
The leaked team predicted both Morsy and Delap wouldn't be in the starting eleven. It was 10 out of 11, so suspect Hutchinson went down with illness late on.

surprised we wouldn't put a youngster on the bench, maybe they're away elsewhere?
McKenna just said someone was sick in the hotel this morning so it will have been a late decision and clearly didn't think it wise to rush a youngster down to the ground this morning instead.
Another concern is Cajuste is being rushed back to cover. Weren't there murmurings that he wouldn't be ready this week?
Edit: There, not their

This is the biggest worry for me. Cajuste and Phillips starting, neither of whom are likely to be fully fit yet, and no midfield cover left on the bench at all. We really have had some terrible luck with injuries so far.
At least it sounds as though Hutchinson won't be out for long.
Woolfenden was the better defender last week, but of course O'Shea starts. Must be a bug running through the club or something, to have so many missing.
With Clarke and Burgess starting I would have thought it made more sense to start Woolfenden as this back 4 have played a lot of games together.
We'll see Woolfie of the bench today when Clarke runs out of steam and O'Shea goes to right back.
