Not helping himself is he on 00:24 - Nov 22 with 3684 views | J2BLUE | I think we should go easy on Frimmers. We're not used to seeing the government using actual expertise. We want to invest so we go to an investment group. It's revolutionary and will take time to get used to. The Tories would have given a big contract to one of their mates who had downloaded the Robin Hood app.

I think the CEO of the startup I work for might have been in that meeting, depending on when it was.

Yes that's exactly how it works. Give me a couple of pairs of varifocals and I'll bring you in to a multi billion pound government initiative. Oh, and a case and one of those cleaning cloths and scratch free coating.

I’d also seen this tweet on X, knew nothing about Blackrock so had a very quick not in depth search, but came up with this, in light of which am surprised the OP got so many downvotes - https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/nov/20/blackrock-climate-human-righ “ To support their complaint, Friends of the Earth investigated publicly available data on BlackRock’s shareholdings between January 2019 and June 2024 in 20 agribusiness companies that have been implicated in environmental and human rights abuses, operating in the palm oil, pulp/paper, soy, cattle, timber and biomass sectors. It found BlackRock has more than $5bn invested in these companies, an increase since 2019 of $519m. In each of the companies is it a top 10 shareholder.”.

I'll be honest I was surprised by the response to my OP Not going to pretend I know everything about them but from what I looked up about them and the sources of them it didn't make for the best reading But also.. I was surprised that during the farmer protests that are happening that he felt it was a good idea to publicly tweet about a company who potentially have a big interest in all those farm plots that will most likely need to be sold in the future.

I think you’ve just shown why he got some pushback. You’ve provided some information and raised an issue. People can engage with that. Frimmers just dropped a tweet with no context whatsoever off the back of a barrage of similar types of anti-Labour posts by others over the last week or so.
