Who's out there, will it be a loan?

I’m expecting us to back in for the Boro striker. By all accounts the deal was all but done in August, but didn’t go through because they hadn’t got time to get a replacement in.

The issue here will be that not too many players of Premier league quality will want to join us in our current precarious position in the league table

Edide Nketiah isn't doing it for Palace and we've definitely been in before, wonder if they'd fancy shuffling their pack and doing a loan. We'll probably end up wheeling & dealing in this kind of fashion anyway.

No chance, they only just signed him!

Not sure he fits the mould of what we want from someone leading the line?

Dunno if that matters much in this day and age.

Presses very well, which is step one. Just throwing it out there tho as we will need to wheel & deal, and we will not be alone in that so expect some slightly odd switches for those looking to roll the dice.

I'd imagine relegation battling teams don't really loan to each other, so i'd doubt it.

A loan only if we get rid of one of the two already, as we are only allowed two.

Realistically depends on which division we are likely to be in I would have thought.
As some have already mentioned, we’ll do well to persuade a Prem striker to drop a division, although that said, we’ve sold the project to players before who have come to Town and got us here.

Thought the rules were that you could only have 2 players on loan from other English clubs, but any number of players from overseas FAs. Means we can have one more from an English club.

Not sure on the number of loanees you can have in your matchday squad though, used to be 5 in the Championship

Unless I'm mistaken. We'll be in the Prem in Jan.

Haji Wright in from Coventry, around £15M.

Not a striker and is incredibly infuriating. Has good tools but a but he has no idea what he's going to do with the ball. 1 in 4 games he looks class though and there is a player in there but a bit like Al-Hamadi is a work in progress player.

He plays off the left and can't do number 9 hold up type play. Bassette would be a better option form Coventry but they only recently signed him and he needs another year in the champ.

Genuine question.

I thought players can only join/play for a max of 2 teams in the same league?

While Nketiah didn't actually play for Arsenal this season he was named as a sub in their first two games.

Hence my question is does that mean that's classed as he has 'played' for both teams and therefore prevented from moving to another PL this season?

It's always a tough window, no club will allow a player to leave even for huge money( unless loaned back)If they're playing well because every Club has something to play for still...a loan would mean a lack of minutes or coming back from injury or simply out of form which is a huge gamble...

A deal including Fridge would be good!

Either that or try very hard to persuade Brighton to loan out Evans, been a very bit part player for them this season since his injury. Although would that be a worry? Not sure what the type of injury was and whether a reoccurrence would be a concern

Poll: Mick in or out? (not a dig at Mick just want to see the overall opinion on here)

Boro striker seems to be a bench option for them at the moment - two interpretations:
1. He is not their number one as they have someone better (Conway); or
2. They are saving ELL for us - they are trying to limit the risk of injury

If it is 1, shouldn’t we go for Conway?

Not a striker, but given we need to replace ogbene do we think Liverpool could move Ben Doak to us for some PL experience?
