The crowd today.. 20:53 - Jan 12 with 7246 views | Wallingford_Boy | Now don’t get me wrong, we won 3-0, it was a positive day… but the crowd…. Yes I know away games are different, but seriously…. It was embarrassing, there is no other word. I travelelled back to oxfordshire with a load of Gas fans and they couldn’t believe it, “worst this season”, etc…. Easy to say of course.. but I believe them. Fa cup, reserve side, etc…. No excuse.. just sing! Rant over, Townsend decent, Ali way out of his depth… but the home crowd…. Jeez!

The crowd today.. on 20:57 - Jan 12 with 5669 views | MattinLondon | It was a relatively easy game against lower league opposition. If it happened to be a much tighter game then I would imagine that the crowd would have been louder.
The crowd today.. on 21:00 - Jan 12 with 5558 views | _clive_baker_ | Not a surprise really, it was more like a pre season friendly than the intensity of a premier league game. When you’re 3-0 up against a struggling league 1 side after 40 minutes it’s never going to be like Chelsea under the lights is it.
The crowd today.. on 21:00 - Jan 12 with 5553 views | ITFC_Forever | Is the answer “because Kayden Jackson isn’t there to moan at unnecessarily”? Or that being a cup game gave people the opportunity to attend who can’t usually.

The atmosphere was awful, awful. on 21:11 - Jan 12 with 5278 views | unstableblue | Justified by being FA Cup and lots of ‘tourist fans’. But what a shame, that as you say the Gas fans leave thinking this is what our fans delver when our team deliver a performance.

The crowd today.. on 21:16 - Jan 12 with 5135 views | Zx1988 | Because, dare I say it, it was relatively dull? A very straightforward performance, which had put the game to bed by half time. The second-half instructions were clearly to ease off, not to do anything silly, and avoid injury. Bristol were never in the game and, as others have pointed out, it very much had the feel of a pre-season friendly; especially when the GK got substituted. After the last 2.5 seasons, it felt weird to be at a competitive game at PR with zero jeopardy to it.

The ones who aren't divvos will probably understand that cup games against lower league dross tend to have a 'family day out' feel to them, not that any of us should care what they think anyway.

The crowd today.. on 21:29 - Jan 12 with 4911 views | TractorWood | Doesn't help when it's a training game after 20 minutes. A calm and assured performance bar momentary lapses from Muric and a penalty that missed by 18 ft from 18 yards. [Post edited 12 Jan 21:35]

The crowd today.. on 21:33 - Jan 12 with 4830 views | 3_5_2 | We sat in our usual seats and were surrounded by new faces. One left at half time. 3 left with 20 minutes to go I guess a new experience for many this season. All a bit weird

The crowd today.. on 21:45 - Jan 12 with 4560 views | football | It was very disappointing I have to say. Nathan, the drum and Block A did their best. Many 'newbies' around me were clueless of the players names, songs or the like which can't have helped. Looking forward to normal service being resumed on Thursday

That’s interesting. Sat in the West Stand, at the North Stand end, and hardly heard a peep out of them. Acoustics I guess.

Loads of good songs, the usual generic football ones, but at least they sang. It may be a meaningless game for us, but that’s no excuse not to sing.

It doesn’t. Not a jot. It was a nothing game yet 27500 went to watch our largely reserve team on a cold day. Good effort in my view. I didn’t go and I’m certainly not going to have a tilt at those that did. Well done BRFC 900 for their effort in getting there. Of course they’d have made a noise. There was nothing else whatsoever in it for them.
