Kit drop official on 09:59 - Jul 5 by Ralphinho | When is the goalkeeper shirt dropping? That pink/purple one looks great in the 0.5s it was shown here |
Yes i love a good GK shirt. I love a long sleeved shirt too. I think home and away shirts are both great but i wish they would do the womens sizes with long sleeves not just the mens and kids. I had the same issue with the GK shirts the past couple of seasons ive had to buy the mens one to be able to get the long sleeves.

Agree. A kit clash shirt shouldn't have the clashing colour on it...or is that too logical, captain. [Post edited 5 Jul 10:16]

Kit drop official on 09:53 - Jul 5 by SimonBatfordITFC | The sponsor logo is too big imo. Don’t mind either overall. The short sleeve version of the away shirt looks much nicer than the long sleeve. |
Agree re the logo - think we’ve been spoiled on that score during the comparatively unobtrusive Sheeran years. The oversizing of this one sticks out like an irritating sore thumb and puts me off buying it, which seems to rather defeat the object of the exercise. Like the home shirt otherwise and the away shirt colour - but not the sleeves, really annoying patterning. [Post edited 5 Jul 10:45]

Sponsors logo seems too big as well. Less said about the away kit the better.

I concur. I’ve ordered the home for the first time in ages - always disappointed when the away kit is bad

Kit drop official on 10:46 - Jul 5 with 803 views | stonojnr | its the gut reaction for me on kits, and neither of them are doing the Ive got £59 (surprised the cost hasnt been mentioned yet) burning a hole in my pocket here take it from me. the away kit is terrible, it looks like one of those Umbro 90s kits, in a bad way, allegedly the pattern is to honour the 30th anniversary of the current club badge. and the long sleeve version just makes it look worse. hopefully theyll wear it as often as last years official away kit and we never have to look at it during a game. the home kit, yeah Im old enough to remember the original, it wasnt exactly fondly remembered, more to do with how the team played and the steep decline from the Robson era. But still it was a pretty basic kit at the time, and looks pretty basic now. and you know weve had lots of retro replica kits done in recent years, that one was never top of anyones list to do was it ? so why when all the def info bros had said the retro recreations era had ended, are we doing this clearly retro inspired version. Im undecided about buying it at the moment, which hasnt been the case for the past 5 seasons, they were always must haves, this doesnt feel like it for me yet. and on the long sleeves thing, Ill be interested to see how many players adopt it, since I mentioned on another thread, long sleeves disappeared because base layers were alot better solution, and Im one of the people who lobbied the club hard in the late 90s/early 00s to let us buy the long sleeve editions, as the players wore them and it never made sense we couldnt buy something they were making, and yet I look at those now and think yeah wish Id got the short sleeve version instead. we'll see, but I think the recent trend of kit sales increasing will have peaked somewhat
Kit drop official on 10:47 - Jul 5 with 799 views | FBI | Pfft. Bought the last 3 so at least I have the L1-CH-PL set. I actually don't mind the short sleeve away one but like the home even less now it's on the website. Maybe the pattern only being on the front is less obvious in real life but not for me this year, I think. Also reminds me too much of the 1982 Everton HAFNIA shirt. None of the above matters in any way, of course, in the grand scheme of things.

Kit drop official on 10:49 - Jul 5 with 790 views | strikalite | I quite like both of them, they can't go wrong with that home shirt, that'll sell, in short sleeve the away shirt is subtle enough...I think..

Kit drop official on 11:41 - Jul 5 with 650 views | The_Major | So, by my reckoning, the late 80s shirt it's a homage to, we actually wore for FOUR seasons - last one of the Ferguson era and the entire stint of John Duncan. That seemed a long time even for then and unimaginable now. Still, you can now pop it on and pretend you're Graham Harbey. Do not try to pretend you're Tony Humes as you'll probably pull a hamstring or destroy your ACL putting if on.

Me too. Opinions on kits are odd though. I really didn't like the home shirt but loved the Burgundy away.

A rare occasion when an Umbro shirt looks better than an Adidas. They’ve done a good job this year imho.

Kit drop official on 12:43 - Jul 5 with 461 views | burnbudgiesburn | Not a kit wearer, but I love the home shirt in short sleeve version - lack of continuous pattern on the long sleeves doesn't work for me though. I loved the 86-89 shirt, just a pity we didn't have the team to grace it. Not a fan of the away, feels very local 80's 90's Jewson league to me.

You say that, but if I was to nitpick I prefer it when we don’t have the red accents. Just keep it simple with blue and white trim. The red always reminds me of Rangers rather than us (which is odd, as they don’t always have the red either, but then I’m a bit odd and aren’t we all). That aside, it’s a nice looking home kit this year.

Kit drop official on 09:54 - Jul 5 by wrightsrightglove | Think this is where I’m at, love the home shirt (although an extra £6 for the long sleeved versions seems steep). Definitely don’t hate the away shirt and think it’ll grow on people. Certainly looks far far better in short sleeve and better than the leaked photo! |
Extra £6 for long sleeves is a bargain. Generally an adult short sleeve shirt is about 1.5 to 2 yards of fabric, long sleeves adds an additional 3/4 of a yard of fabric, so up to 50% additional fabric for a mere 10% more ££
Kit drop official on 14:30 - Jul 5 with 228 views | The_Major | I mean, each to their own and that, but seeing the latest pics on the club Instagram account of the queue stretching down Portman Road, I'm curious why the two chaps at the moment he front are brandishing an ITFC England flag. You're buying a football shirt, not off to a match. I mean I'm pretty sure Planet Blue will prefer currency than appropriated flags for payment. Still, to be fair, for all I know, they might have been given it by the photographer.
