The coach leaves lunchtime tomorrow and will get tot he Brum hotel by 17:00. I presume they will leave about 17:00 on the Friday for the 20:00 kickoff. So that means they will have 24 hours to kill. What do they do? Now I presume they will get 8-10 hours sleep, and probably 3 hours of meal times. That still leaves 10-11 hours of free time. What do they do? Presume they have 2-3 hours of Playstation or the like. What else happens? Quite a lot of time to use up? Anybody have any idea?

Chess. The match between Harry Clarke and Woolfie is in it's 4th year now. Luke lead with Asimov's gambit, but Harry on the black pieces, countered with the Traxler, but then a cagey stalemate ensued. The end game will be fascinating to follow, and the squad are all enthralled as to the eventual outcome.

Well, it’s common knowledge that the squad is ferried to Brockdish, in Norfolk, under cover of dusk, where they’re greeted by John Craven in robes made entirely of fig rolls and Garibaldis. After a brief blessing involving water pistols and a lion named Keith (on loan from Banham Zoo), the players are invited to take part in the Biscuit Sorting Ritual—an ancient Norfolk tradition where bourbons are separated from custard creams using only intuition and a small rake.
Once the sorting is complete, Craven reads aloud from the 1987 Brockdish Parish Scroll of Tactical Ambiguity, while the lion paces ominously near the Rich Tea pile. The evening concludes with a group viewing of “John Craven’s Newsround: The Biscuit Years” projected onto the side of a disused grain silo, followed by a light supper of digestives and isotonic gravy.
Then it’s off to bed, unless you’re the designated Biscuit Whisperer, in which case you must stay awake and listen for the sound of fig rolls migrating.
