Two weeks ago, news broke that FC Nordsjælland was negotiating with Dutch club PSV about a transfer for the Norwegian standout talent Sindre Walle Egeli. However, TV 2 has now learned that this transfer is no longer seen as likely. Instead, the English Championship club Ipswich Town has entered the scene with a substantial offer to secure the Norwegian rising star. TV 2 understands that Ipswich is close to meeting the transfer fee that Nordsjælland wants for Walle Egeli. It is expected that the ambitious Championship club is willing to pay close to 20 million euros (around 240 million Norwegian kroner) to sign the winger. Makes me laugh when people dub young players ‘the next *insert generational talent*’. There’s a part of me that thinks if he’s the next Haaland and available for this sort of money why the feck would he come to us? Surely a premier league club has a punt?
Not disputing he might be talented and an exciting addition btw, very much hope he is. Would sit outside the 25 man squad too which might allow us to sign someone more proven to take the weight off his shoulders a bit.
Get this lad, someone like Phillip Billing and a Rak-Sakyi type and we would look much stronger.

The rush and excitement of a potential new signing seems to pass quicker and quicker these days when you check out the socials - whether its the cost, the name (who?), some obscure stat that the statswank boys have made up that seems low, using some other clubs database, or just that he isnt the love child of Pele and Messi, the buzz soon goes

Although there are also numerous stories of the "next so and so" who never made it, so I wouldn't want to put on too much pressure. Plus I suspect that he is from Norway may lead to some lazy comparisons.
IF we get him I'll be excited to see how he progresses.

Sounds as if this has progressed well beyond just being interested. He would be the Hutchinson replacement so I guess we were waiting for that deal to be done before trying to get this one over the line.

I get the feeling this lad is not quite as explosive as Omari but looks even more technical than Omari and potentially better composure in front of goal too.

Yeah, guess that’s a very obvious comparison.
Hopefully we’ve done our homework and think he’s one who can contribute. Certainly going to be working under the right coach if he does join.
