We signed McAteer on Thursday. On Monday Egeli confirmed “Yes, I know there’s a bid, then it's up to the clubs and see if they can agree".

Looking at his physique at such a young age, and the talk of him being converted to a striker. Then, perhaps he'd be signed as a potential understudy to Hirst, as well as playing RW.

If our answer for selling Omari is McAteer for 12M while Southampton get fellows for 10M and this deal goes quiet I’ll be underwhelmed.
I’ve seen a good amount of McAteer and he runs non stop, decent player but not beat you out wide type and personally think we’ve overpaid, especially when I’ve seen Fellows at this level, who I’d rate as a better player.
Not to say McAteer might not do very well for us but he isn’t a get you off you’re seat type either.
If we are out on a really exciting signing with huge ceiling I’d be very disappointed tbh. |  |

He's a nine as well. Played there for his old team. His current team has used him as a winger. Possibly another Akpom.

I was told last week that KMac was taking his time over signing-off on the deal. |
To be honest I trust the PSV scouts and other European links over a good year in the champ for the likes of Jack Clarke. Really hope it's not us that turn this down. Even if it doesn't work out I like the ambition with this one compared to some of the others. [Post edited 28 Aug 17:00]
