It's a way of distracting attention from the house in Clacton.
It's sad - I see so many Americans on social media extolling the benefits of the UK, having been here as sort of the military etc. every time I watch a clip I cannot help but think we're simply a few years behind them. |

This is genuinely appalling and shameless from the MP for Claptrap. Paying tribute to a man who opposes British values, had no real presence here until his death etc all to cosy up to Trump should see some sort of sanction from the house. |
Firstly, and its an important caveat, Kirk's assassination is appalling and completely unjustified. But the way he is being made out to be a hero and martyr is concerning. He was an extremist, he profited from division, and some of this beliefs and statements need condemning not celebrating. His wife's video statement, just sums up the movement the Kirk was in.
The way Trump has use this episode, is dangerous and so ill informed. The shooter seems to have acted alone, he's from a white conservative republican environment. Where's the conversation on people being able to get high powered sniper rifles.
And for arch grifting disruptor Farage to jump on this band wagon is sickening. We need to stand up a country, and ask how do we avoid becoming like the USA. |  |

This is what happens when people throw around the term fascist without actually knowing what a fascist is. People have views that many of us find abhorrent. Debate them. But using a term such as fascist takes things to the next level. |
He got incorrectly labelled fascist because he did stuff that fascists do, like contribute to the insurrections, spread hate (something the killer highlighted as a motive).
That Charlie Kirk isn't advocating corporatist economics doesn't absolve him of creating the political divisions and climate that have led to his murder. It isn't the term Fascists that led to this, it is his actions.

i know little about him and next to nothing before he was murdered. can you be specific about which of his views were 'fascist' and how you distinguish them from hard right or christian nationalist or social conservative etc views? and are fascist views distinct from advocating fascism as a political programme - and did he do that? genuinely know next to nothing about him. |  |
