Whole thing made no sense from the get go - fair enough if it was £75m we paid but to not even move the dial for them it was just utterly bizarre.
Certainly a player with lots of class (the first free kick today even better on replay than it looked in the ground) and I think he’ll play an important role for us going forward. Felt like him in the middle today gave us a little bit more control but I’d like to see him deeper personally and getting the ball off the keeper and centre backs. |  | | |

It's not just about what he can do creativity wise but that ability to score freekicks is imo a top reason to have him on the pitch. Sure you won't put someone one who's only good at set pieces. But that's not nunez he's got loads of ability and suits our 10 role. |  |

We're constantly comparing us to the 23/24 team. The difference is that that was a real team, no super stars and they were greater than the sum of their parts.
We now have a squad littered with talent, albeit not all of them have shown it yet. It would be criminal to let some of it sit on the bench for too long in the hope we can get by on team work and patterns etc. Individuals doing things like Nunez today will go far. |  |

I don’t know what they were thinking. PR disaster and set the tone for the toxicity to start earlier which I doubt helped their new players on the pitch when the losses started to come. Hilarious.
Not to take anything away from the strikes, great hits but the keeper and wall set ups looked fairly amateurish looking back at it. [Post edited 1 Nov 23:13]

Yeah feels like ppl have their heads in the sand on this. If he’s prepared to do that to our big rivals he won’t give a second thought to doing that to us in the future, especially if we don’t go up in the next 2 years.

I'd day it was the other way round. Kieran had a first second third choice midfielder.
Hackney was top, but he had Nunez on his list, for ball control and passing range from midfield. Ashton and team realised that Nodge needed the money and put in a nice high bid and they had no others, so had to accept to get more finance in. |  |

This is spot on. I have never celebrated a Town goal like I did with Núñez's second yesterday.
I just cried with laughter and tried to stop my sides splitting when he thumped the badge in front of our fans in celebration.
It's all just fantastically brilliant if you love/hate our rivalry with little Nogde as much as I do.

The keeper and wall were Sunday league level. First one was an excellent hit but a decent keeper should have that covered. Second one, the wall left him a lovely gap to aim for but they were so shocking that even though he didn't find the gap, they still managed to deflect it in for him. |  |
