| Nunez 21:32 - Nov 1 with 4819 views | SomethingBlue | I know it's childish, and I know the Ipswich-Norwich pendulum will swing this way and that til the end of time, and I'm aware the guy really needs to help us get promoted above all else ... but the whole Nunez thing is as hilarious as anything that I can remember and I really can't get enough of it. It just keeps giving and giving. | |

| Nunez on 21:42 - Nov 1 with 4258 views | JakeITFC | Whole thing made no sense from the get go - fair enough if it was £75m we paid but to not even move the dial for them it was just utterly bizarre. Certainly a player with lots of class (the first free kick today even better on replay than it looked in the ground) and I think he’ll play an important role for us going forward. Felt like him in the middle today gave us a little bit more control but I’d like to see him deeper personally and getting the ball off the keeper and centre backs. | | | |

And another reason why he needs to play that 10 role from now on It's not just about what he can do creativity wise but that ability to score freekicks is imo a top reason to have him on the pitch. Sure you won't put someone one who's only good at set pieces. But that's not nunez he's got loads of ability and suits our 10 role.

We had a few in earlier games when he wasn't on the pitch unfortunately

We're constantly comparing us to the 23/24 team. The difference is that that was a real team, no super stars and they were greater than the sum of their parts. We now have a squad littered with talent, albeit not all of them have shown it yet. It would be criminal to let some of it sit on the bench for too long in the hope we can get by on team work and patterns etc. Individuals doing things like Nunez today will go far.

| Nunez on 23:11 - Nov 1 with 3462 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | I don’t know what they were thinking. PR disaster and set the tone for the toxicity to start earlier which I doubt helped their new players on the pitch when the losses started to come. Hilarious. Not to take anything away from the strikes, great hits but the keeper and wall set ups looked fairly amateurish looking back at it. [Post edited 1 Nov 23:13]

Yeah feels like ppl have their heads in the sand on this. If he’s prepared to do that to our big rivals he won’t give a second thought to doing that to us in the future, especially if we don’t go up in the next 2 years. Let’s hope he doesn’t have to make that choice.

Their whole club is clearly rattled by it.. It's just an extra little cherry on top of watching them drown. We need him to win Championship Player of the Month, at some stage, Just to rub a bit of salt in..

Let’s be realistic; he’s not going to be signed by a prem team anytime soon. He’s probably at his ceiling.

| Nunez on 06:53 - Nov 2 with 2333 views | LegendofthePhoenix | The move to bring him to ITFC was just so audacious I'd love to know the details of how it all happened. Did Mark Ashton pick to phone up to the Noj owner and say "hey this is Mark Ashton, I'd like to take your best player off you?" Did Nunez's agent contact ITFC and say "Marcelino would love to join ITFC"? It's as audacious as Wes Burns' trivella against Coventry - just something you never thought you's see. | |

Why? Why is it "painfully obvious with him" more than any other player? Just seems such an odd thing to bring up when we've won 4-1 away from home and he's scored two. If you can't look on the positives after that you might as well give up on football.

I’d like to think it went like this… MA: So HH rejected us Kieran, but we have the opportunity to do something hilarious here. KM: Go on, I’m listening. MA: Just come over here and see what player I’ve identified… *KM walks over to MA’s side of the desk* KM: Do you think we could actually pull this off…? MA: Well, do you want him…? *a smile comes across KM’s face* KM: I mean, it would be hilarious wouldn’t it…? MA: I’ll lodge a bid now and we’ll see what will happen. *a few days later* MA: Kieran, they’ve only gone and accepted it KM: I love you Mark. MA: I love you even more Kieran.

Even at the heights of our banter era I can’t remember us doing anything so self destructive. Lots of things that showed a lack of planning, care and investment yes. Something this knowingly stupid that shows such disregard to your own fans. Nope. And I’m all here for it.

I'd day it was the other way round. Kieran had a first second third choice midfielder. Hackney was top, but he had Nunez on his list, for ball control and passing range from midfield. Ashton and team realised that Nodge needed the money and put in a nice high bid and they had no others, so had to accept to get more finance in.

| Nunez on 09:15 - Nov 2 with 1290 views | Cafe_Newman | This is spot on. I have never celebrated a Town goal like I did with Núñez's second yesterday. I just cried with laughter and tried to stop my sides splitting when he thumped the badge in front of our fans in celebration. It's all just fantastically brilliant if you love/hate our rivalry with little Nogde as much as I do. EDIT: Nogde, Nodge, scum, sucm... whatever. [Post edited 2 Nov 9:18]

The keeper and wall were Sunday league level. First one was an excellent hit but a decent keeper should have that covered. Second one, the wall left him a lovely gap to aim for but they were so shocking that even though he didn't find the gap, they still managed to deflect it in for him.
