Is all the Pressure on us? I’m not so sure. 03:33 - Apr 10 with 3380 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

We are playing for a much greater prize than a faint hope of playoffs BUT the Easter results went so well we literally know a win at Pompey will see us take the field against Boro second regardless. We’ve already beat them this season, so that’s off our back as well, whereas for Norwich this is it, the only game left in their season with something big on the line.

They have to win to have any outside shot of playoffs, have to win to stop us being unbeaten against them this season and have to avoid defeat to stop us doing the double. A draw isn’t too bad for us and a win is dreamland. A draw is a bit of meh for them really.

I see it as an everything to gain situation and a loss as horrible as it would be, wouldn’t on it own be be a kill shot for promotion. Of course the stakes are high but it’s not win or bust for us either (which it really should been if not for Boro’s form).

cant agree, pressure is all on us. but we have got to embrace it, as it will be that way in most of the games left as the nature of what we are fighting for.

it is a free hit for them, from where they were in the season to now have a outside chance of play offs is a bonus.

we just have to stand up to everything the position we are in brings , reach the levels of cov away we will have a very strong chance of winning.

i can see them being happy to sit in and counter, which i think we look susceptible to so thats a worry but as i said above reach the level of cov away we should have enough.

It's a derby game so high pressure on both sides, you'd have to think there's some pressure on that lot having lost the away match.

Getting really nervous now, I love/hate this fixture!

At the moment I only care about not losing to them obviously hoping for a stress free win though.

No, they'll be desperate to dent our automatic promotion chances and desperate not to see us win at CR for the first time in years. Plenty of pressure on them too, coupled with them knowing we're better than them at the moment.

I think I would still take a point now and move onto Portsmouth though.

This is where I'm at. Obviously a win would be huge, but the results last weekend have bought us the ability to have a slip up or two.

Evan a draw isn't a bad result for us plus it would mean we are unbeaten against them for 2 seasons running, if we go up make that at least 3 years unbeaten against them

Hirst and Clarke the goal scorers.

The message has to be that pressure is a privilege. Thrive on it. Roll your sleeves up. Grit your teeth and get the win that could all but seal top 2. This is no time for shrinking violets. Remember that we came from behind to beat Brum. We *can* be resilient.

Victory at our six-fingered friends would give the players/fans/club *such* a boost, I think we'd be an unstoppable machine then.

Yeah totally agree, as I said here;

I expect the Norwich supporters are more nervous about this game than us. Most of us are hoping for a draw at best. For Nodge, this is all they have to play for... knowing if they were to lose they'd be helping us to one foot in the Prem.

They'll be bullish... but inside they'll be bricking it knowing that if they lose it'll not only be a defeat to your rivals, it'll be the double, and it'll be putting us into an incredible position in terms of promotion.

A defeat for us, as you say, would be horrible... but not the end of the world.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I think Norwich are going to be more of a handful to us than we will be for them - simply down to this extra digit.

We can certainly (it seems) afford a defeat from the next two but I'm wary of putting too much on the Pompey game if we lost tomorrow – yes we should win it but a Tuesday night down there with home players & fans scrapping for their lives has the potential to be not especially fun. Disappointment at Norwich definitely wouldn't be terminal but getting something from the game would do wonders both for momentum & relieving a little pressure on upcoming matches.

I think they will be hugely up for it, playing with freedom and in our faces. I am interested to see how we cope with a team that doesn't let us take the game to them and tbh I am a little worried. A good test before Southampton who will do the same too.

October’s win means that for the first time in ages with this fixture, I’m looking at it without any trepidation in terms of the rivalry. With their current form and home advantage, they may very well beat us, but even if they do, the memory of October will make up for it.

October’s result is also useful because the team can just concentrate on getting a result for what it means to the bigger picture, rather than the additional pressure of having to win the game to end the wait for a local derby win.

Town are better man for man and will win by a score of 2-1.

Enjoy it if you watch it live. I’m still in the post Farage state, so will probably be out having lunch with my wife, and will look in on the result later.

I'd swap a 2-0 for 1-0 with Nunez the scorer. Particularly if it's a highly controversial and protest delayed free kick into the top corner in the 107th minute.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

Blimey, because Farage visited the club you're going to deny yourself an East Anglian derby?! Seems the very epitome of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

They have been playing with total freedom and without pressure more or less the day Clement walked through the door and that momentum has snowballed since then.

This is arguably the first time since Clement arrived that they will feel a hint of expectation from fans given the gravity of this fixture. That in itself may do funny things.

Yes, they've been in great form but in the media, it's almost been painted like they are some peak 1970s Ajax at the moment.

There seems to expectation on their side that they will get revenge as they are a different side now, Clement is the messiah, playoffs still a dream.

Alot of Town fans seem to expect the worst hope for the best at CR. Plus its not absolutely pivotal to league standings we win....surely that can work in our favour as they will come at us, so I hope KM will have us be a little more direct on the counter...we would stand a great chance if we can keep our heads at the back
