After coming close several times during the course of this season, this weekend has been the final straw for me.
I just cannot comprehend how much criticism and negative comments this team has received. After the disappointment of relegation last season we have put ourselves into a wonderful position where instant promotion is one win away.
I accept that the football hasn't always been scintillating but for God's sake, what do people want from a season. Some of you lot don't know how lucky you are....you could have been around during the Duncan years, the dreadful 1994/95 season, three failed playoffs under Burley, then the morass of the Evans years followed by the humiliation of three miserable seasons in the third division without coming close to promotion.
You have a side that is far from perfect, but is about to be promoted to the promised land for the second time in three seasons.
Just what do you want?
I'm done. Enjoy your negativity, pointless criticism and petty backbiting....I'm just going to enjoy supporting my team. Follow the Town, up or down.

Tbf, you can support town without being on a forum, forums have loads of different views and backgrounds, some you may agree with and may not.
That's the point of a forum and free speech!
Most of the people on here were probably around during eras you have noted, but no one should use the word retard, it's not acceptable.

You think the way the current board reacts to results Burley would have survived the 99/00 season, to even get to the playoffs.?
QPR doubled us, we lost to Norwich, we lost to Portsmouth, we lost to Grimsby. None of that seasons games were games that stick in the memory of sublime football we got the results we needed,and thats all that mattered,and yes there was a feeling we'd screwed up finishing 3rd with a team that should have won the league.
Same with the current team if we go up this season, come 2052 you won't be sat here complaining about them as frequently as people do now , you'll be they were all amazing, remember that amazeballs goal scored in the derby,etc etc etc. | | | |
