I think the 2 clubs should get together and issue a joint statement, drawing a sensable line . calling each other scum, binners etc, the Fashanu song, flashing up Scum on the Norwich electric scoreboard in past memory , theres banter and rivalry but a line should be drawn now. Delia, at her age deseves some respect, I would be fuming if such things were sung about Pat Godbold, ungentlemanly and unnecessary. I have a beef with the Pink un as well for not stopping Binners and Scum derogative comments when it says its a serious tabloid, and biased inflamatry reporting, Delias car was not 'attacked'. |

I hate this line "verbally abusing an 84 year old woman". It's an exaggeration to make it seem as worse as possible. In the context of a football song (and on the terraces or an open top bus parade) it's a bit of pantomime aimed at a rival team. It's not literally abusing someone. And it's certainly not going up to an 84 year old woman and abusing her.
I can understand why people don't like the song, I'm not overly keen myself. And it's not really becoming of a CEO to sing it. But let's not make it out to be more than it is. [Post edited 8 May 11:05]

Absolutely. But thats in his own time. When he's out with the club he is there as chairman/ceo thats just how it is and because of that he should act in a certain way. Hence the efl investigating it. Hes a representative of the club and also at that time a representative of the efl. | |
