Promotion (obviously) A game at PR with more than 25,000 people in attendance. A Cup game against a big team after actually winning some cup games. An ITFC player to make it onto Team of the Week/Season on FIFA 22. A development announced that modernises Portman Road. A striker who scores 15 goals A signing this summer that makes us go: 'How have we managed that?'
Too much to ask for next season?

A proper cohesive team. They don’t have to be the best, though this is obviously the aim, just a group of lads playing for each other and enjoying it.

Promotion has to be the priority. If we do that and nothing else I'll be happy.
A cup run would be a nice bonus (FA Cup ideally). 4th or 5th round would be nice.
Not too bothered about developments to PR.
Not too bothered where our goals come from, as long as they come from somewhere. I would imagine if we're going to be a top side at this level we'll need a marksman though.
As for the 'How have we managed that?' signing, I think we might be in for a couple of those based on the noises I've heard (depending on what your expectations are of course).
I think next season will be tougher than we expect. You can't sign an entirely new squad and expect instant results. Teams will be coming down with the same ambition of going up, a few of the big clubs at this level will also be out there spending and improving. We are a long term project and it won't be an instant fix.

i really think that getting the ground full next season will help massively. 25k every week would be the 12th man as cringey as it sounds.
It would also of course be a sure sign that the virus is 'over', so let's hope so.
But 25,000 is a lot of people to find. And in the west of the county, it's now very likely that Ipswich won't even be most people's most local league 1 team, as that will be Cambridge.

Good list, but for me the only thing that matters is the first thing on your list. Anything else is a welcome bonus, but if we get promotion, next season should be classed as a success, and if we don’t, it’s a failure.
They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

I would slightly reword your last bit to read 'expected' rather than ' a success' Certainly a failure if we don't though, and a failure bigger than the three failures that we have now had in three seasons.

Just to hear our fans singing 'Cookie give us a wave', that would mean we're playing well and probably winning. I'm beginning to forget what that feels like.
