He will defo be on their list if so, but I am confident KM wouldn't jump ship any time soon (famous last words)
Managerial dominos......will Brighton come knocking for KM on 11:48 - Sep 7 with 3624 views | itfcsuth | Of course it is possible, but I doubt they will go for a League 1 manager, it's a big step up from L1 to PL. Very little you could do if they did come knocking.

They wont come in for him. However, if a champ club cam in for KM I think he could be persuaded to stay. If an established Prem club came in for him, I would expect he would jump ship.

Now, I rate KM based on what we have seen so far but do you 'honestly' think KM will be on their list? As a manager, he has spent less than 1 season in charge of a L1 club and so far has no achievements to show....with no disrespect to KM, I would be extremely surprised if Brighton would have him on their list. What he has achieved for us - is huge as a Club but within the wider world of football it's insignificant. [Post edited 7 Sep 2022 12:34]

Ashton said the exact same thing about us when we appointed McKenna though, and has said it again since, that we'll already have another list of managers we're keeping an eye on in the event McKenna leaves.

Don't think I was very clear. He will be on a list of some sorts, yes. Ashton spoke about tracking young and upcoming managers across the world, even when you have a manager doing well for your club, you always track what's out there. I guarantee you what KM is doing here is being tracked and watched closely by a lot of clubs I don't think they'' 'go' for him, no.

Managerial dominos......will Brighton come knocking for KM on 11:55 - Sep 7 with 3501 views | BlueBlood90 | I rate KMc very highly but I'd be very surprised if the current 4th best team in the country came in for him with less than a year of managerial experience and managing in L1. I'd be worried if a top end Championship club came calling for him. Already feel like we're on borrowed time and he's going to get plenty of offers along the road. Just hope the potential and backing he's received so far will help him stay loyal.

He has a massive amount of control at Brighton and there is no way Chelsea will offer him that given their set up.
Managerial dominos......will Brighton come knocking for KM on 11:58 - Sep 7 with 3413 views | OriginalMarkyP | Are people mad??? To us he's great, but to the higher echelons of the football world he's a well thought of coach who has been a manager for 30 seconds! His biggest achievement so far is beating MK Dons 3-0 FFS! Brighton are good enough to get a top 7 finish in the Prem. Their fans would go ballistic if they signed an untested League 1 manager! I'm mean a little perspective, please! There is scaremongering and then there is Walter Mitty Fantasy land!!!

The Ipswich fan in me says 'this would be just our luck'. So yeh, he's probably top of the list!!

Hassenhuttl would be terrific fit for Brighton. Worked very well under the Red Bull model, who have a similar model to that of Brighton in the recruitment department.

Of course. Clubs will have done that for decades, Ashton talks about these things as if he's doing something new.

Managerial dominos......will Brighton come knocking for KM on 12:28 - Sep 7 with 3079 views | clive_baker | It's very naive to think McKenna isn't on the radar of just about all of the 44 clubs above us in the pyramid, he's one of the hottest properties in English football and one of the brightest young British managers. Of those 44, there's probably 10 that wouldn't back themselves to poach him from us like Coventry or Wigan, and the 'big 10' that would, rightly, not see him as remotely appropriate at this stage. Of the 20 odd others between mid table in the Prem and mid table in the Championship I would think he would be peaking interest, and I would put Brighton firmly in that bracket by way of club size if not current league position. People talk about Potter being young, he's got 11 years on KM. McKenna has a very impressive CV, through Spurs, to United winning the title with their U18's, into the senior fold and assistant to Jose Mourinho at 32 years old, for arguably the biggest club in the world. Whether Brighton actually move for him if they lost Potter who knows, but they'll certainly be aware of him and 'on a list' of sorts. FWIW I don't think Chelsea will take Potter, they're more likely to go for Pochettino IMO, he's available and it feels like a good fit for him.

They're getting very tedious. The answer is always either "no", or "he's intelligent enough to know that his best option is to stay here & take us up".
