To be fair Chelts I think a lot of reactions could be managed
MA's words ref being aggressive and all that regarding purchases/ transfers this Summer should for me , have been tempered a little . He simply raised everyone's expectations and when a player is linked of not a particular value or ilk , people get their backs up

Whilst we all want new signings, I do think fans are justified in being mystified by the McAteer link.
We've just sold two wide forwards for a combined 47.5M and we are now being linked with a replacement who is a bench player for a rival, is worth a couple of million and has 8 goals and 1 assist in his 4 years of senior Football.
We know nothing as fans but I think in this case, with him being a possible replacement for our best player, fans are well within their right to say we should be aiming much higher. | | | |
