O'Shea immense again 14:40 - Apr 11 with 1845 viewsDubtractor

A few seem reluctant to appreciate how good he is for us, but that was a proper captain's performance today.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Agree, deserved his MOTM award.

He was phenomenal. 1st half especially, but thought the 90 absolute rock. He’s the best defender in the division bar none.

Championship version of those awful ten-foot tall CBs we used to despise when we played Fleetwood/Rotherham/Lincoln.

Got his head on everything.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Taking out the emotion of today, Dara O'Shea is a magnificent defender.

I don't know quite how he does it, because he's not very big, but he is absolutely dominant in a challenge, and more than that, he has the most extraordinary judgement and timing. It's like he has an extra second to do stuff and opponents often just seem to have to give up and watch him bring the ball down and deliver it to our forwards.

Immense.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

It almost goes down as a redemption story, but only because he has been criminally underrated for periods during his time with us.

A few mistakes across the season but playing the role he does I think it's almost a given. His defending is absolutely top class.

Timing and positioning are absolutely vital skills to have if you want to play at a high level.

The late, great Gordon Banks was a prime example of that.

So many of his saves looked easy, but he was exceptional at being in the right place at the right time.

Particularly in talking with and shepherding team-mates, really needed that today esp in intervening in one flare-up that could have gone on to a mass brawl, a couple of scum players should probably be grateful to him too.

That was also smart, I think it was as much for the referee to say ‘don’t even think about it’.

DO’S absolutely superb again today.

One of the best defensive performances from a CB in a long long time.

What a leader and a warrior today. Greaves was outrageously good today as well. Positioning and winning every battle. Brilliant.

How he ‘tried’ to Marshall Nunez was good too and shows the awareness needed to lead.

I gave him some horrible flak after the Wrexham game. I'm going to be eating humble pie for the rest of the weekend, and its never tasted as good.
