Assume so for Jackson, but who is going to pay for Donacien.....and what use is a full back who can't attack

Jackson and Donacien staying! (n/t) on 15:43 - May 10 with 4856 views | Steve_M | Hmmm.... Well I might have expected that about Jackson at the start of this season, less so as it's gone on, but curious how Cook thinks he might use him given he can't play as the 1 in 4-2-3-1, presumably wide. Of course, we may just want to try and recover some money. Donacien? Meh, very good one on one defender, crap on the ball.

Plymouth and Fleetwood were willing to part with £50,000 in January - as pitiful as that is considering we paid £750k!

probably correct re: jackson. however, i think donacien's worth keeping as a backup, not going to be many better backup right backs for the wage and he can cover cb and lb too. in a smaller squad it's a no-brainer

Jackson and Donacien staying! (n/t) on 15:45 - May 10 with 4729 views | pointofblue | As said, I imagine Jackson is staying with the hope of recouping a fee. Donacien is an interesting one but he can play across the backline and did well for Fleetwood as far as I can see.

Cook clearly sees his worth as backup at very least. I still think there is more use in him than meets the eye. Certainly not worth what we paid for him, and had no business in a championship team as a regular starter - but at 27 and a fairly solid season on loan - Cook could rate his fitness and reliability.

He cannot play up top, as a number 10 or out wide. Must be triggering the extension to then sell this summer.

The only issue this time around is he's off the back of a pretty poor season - injury and form - and I doubt we'd get anywhere near the £1m which was offered. I imagine we may get something around £500k for him, which I suppose is better than nothing.

Jackson and Donacien staying! (n/t) on 15:49 - May 10 with 4451 views | tractordownsouth | Jackson will be to try and eke a few hundred thousand out of another club. As for Donacien, I assume he'll be the back up right back now Chambers is gone?

That £50k would have barely covered what he was due on his contract so was just paying him up

We need better as a back up to KVY, if KVy can't stay fir then we can't survice with Donacien - he doesn't attack and that is what Cook is about. He couldn't get near it ahead of a 35 year old Chambers this season, if he is still here next season I'll be disappointed
