Fleetwood XI 09:00 - May 1 with 2304 views | wkj | Do you think McKenna will play a strong first XI consistent of his recent teams in a bid to do all we can to land 1st or are you expecting a rotated squad to give the youth and backup players a runout. Further more, what would you want to see?

Fleetwood XI on 09:03 - May 1 with 2270 views | SheffordBlue | Be amazed if it's not very close to full strength. Minor knocks/injuries that could be made worse would be the only reason I'd want to see changes at this stage.

Fleetwood XI on 09:03 - May 1 with 2270 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Thought the same myself, from KMc comments, winning the league isn't the most important thing on his mind. but I think he, and the team will want another win and another clean sheet. Might be a light rotation, (Hladky and Edwards for example) and a fully rotated bench. (Evans and Camara perhaps)

Yeah, I kind of hope so too. Although the league trophy is a bit of a token vs the actual prize of promotion, I would love to see the team able to lift something over their heads this season.

Fleetwood XI on 09:25 - May 1 with 2145 views | Durovigutum | The Championship regulations also state that "from the fourth Thursday in March, any team sheet for a league game should include at least 10 outfield players who featured on the team sheet for the league game before". This was all over the Burnley Reading game a few weeks back - I do t have access to the league one rules but can’t imagine it isn’t the same across the EFL as they don’t alter base competition rules within steps.
Fleetwood XI on 09:38 - May 1 with 2096 views | RegencyBlue | Still a chance of the title if Plymouth slip up so why wouldn’t we put out our best team?
Fleetwood XI on 09:41 - May 1 with 2059 views | Guthrum | Think he'll play a strong starting team, then maybe bring on one or two fringe players among the subs if we've already pretty much won the game. Unlikely to field youth other than perhaps Humphreys (who is effectively a first-teamer anyway). Being in front of a relatively small away crowd, there's less incentive to just stick on players for a bit of applause (Saturday was the time for that). I would like McKenna to go properly for the victory. We want to keep up the winning mentality* and there is still a chance of finishing top. * For that matter, winning/unbeaten run records can lap across more than one season.

Fleetwood XI on 09:41 - May 1 with 2059 views | Basuco | 100 points and 100 goals are the target, it that is not enough to see us as Champions, then Plymouth will be true League 1 champions on merit. I think KmK will go for a full strength team, injuries permitting, to go and get the win and another clean sheet as well.
Fleetwood XI on 09:42 - May 1 with 2051 views | Mullet | I think he's the type of bloke who would go for the title even if the odds were much lower than they already are. For me, a big rotation would be fine, we're up now.

That can't be right? What if you have injuries/suspensions etc?
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

Then you tell them that and you won't get in trouble.

Fleetwood XI on 09:53 - May 1 with 1944 views | portmanpensioner | I would hope it’s as close to an unchanged side as possible in respect to the 1100 or so supporters going to Fleetwood at a very early start.

Also gives no tactical wiggle room for genuine personnel changes, which would be crazily restrictive IMO.
Fleetwood XI on 09:56 - May 1 with 1931 views | ringwoodblue | Don’t think McK will change a winning formula and 16 players will get some minutes. How perfect would it be for us to win the title on 100 points and 100+ goals with Muff second on 99. I would LMFAO.

Fleetwood XI on 11:53 - May 1 with 1765 views | Churchman | I hope he plays his best team. Be professional and see it through. Ok, if we are beating them bring on the fringe players, but I love the relentless approach that’s been taken in the last few months and would like the season to finish that.

You’re not wrong about Davis, big credit to the medical department (and himself) for wheeling him out these past few weeks.

I had a feeling Davis had been playing within himself the last month or so. Definitely been less of an influence on games. Here's hoping he can rest up fully in time for June/July.
Fleetwood XI on 19:03 - May 1 with 1396 views | Deano69 | While there’s still a chance to win the league I am sure he will pick a side to play for the win.

Fleetwood XI on 19:18 - May 1 with 1366 views | Swansea_Blue | Hell yeah. We need to win to stand any chance of winning the league. Don’t be fooled by the celebrations; they won’t have switched off and will want to put themselves in a position where we win the title. That’s what winners do. It’s all down to Plymouth of course, but we’ll have a go with a full strength side. (Watch him make 11 changes now lol).

When we are 5-0 up after 32 minutes he'll bring the subs on. I know he's Irish but I don't think he will ask them to flood the pitch before the subs come on.
Fleetwood XI on 19:30 - May 1 with 1298 views | GlasgowBlue | We are going for the title so I would imagine KM will start with a full strength team. Perhaps JD, Gegg Leigh and Ladapo will start. I would expect KVY, Aluko & Keogh to be in the matchday squad. [Post edited 1 May 2023 19:38]
