He doesn't feel very McKenna like in what he wants from his strikers?

Not the worst idea in my eyes.

Can't believe he is only 28 feels like he has been around forever.

Don't think footballinsider247 has much of a track record for being correct

Also, not really in the McKenna mould but would be an upgrade as a bench option from what we have currently

Held talks with him in the summer, so makes sense.

If we're talking to players we spoke to in the summer

Who was that really out there signing we didn't pull off?

Not the worst shout in the world but i've never seen the work rate in him that we will definitely need from a bench striker.

Didn't really feature at all for Leicester in the 2nd half of the season either.

He was quality at City, great finisher.

If KM could get the potential out of him, then could be a good signing.

We've had about 5 consecutive windows of trying to be perfect in that regard, this time we just need someone better than Al-Hamadi.

Would the do business with a relegation rival? Even if hes surplus to requirements?

I thought that - but they let him go at the end of the season - now at Sevilla. I guess they replaced him with Ayew

He plays in Spain so we’re not a huge rival!

Would make sense someone of this ilk. Experienced, loan, better than what we have on the bench. Only need him to play at 100% for 30 mins a week. Hirst also back soon and Delap clearly the number 1.

I may be corrected here but I seem to remember it was implied we tried for Martial.

Yup, he might not be an awe-inspiring signing, but then neither was Kiefer Moore last season! We just need players to lessen the quality drop-off we tend to have from the bench, toward the end of matches. I wouldn't be opposed to his signing.

I'd say Kiefer Moore was genuinely quite a coup for a championship club. More so than signing Iheancho would be now
