Played and gave an assist in the Gold cup final on Sunday against the States. Midfielder 5’11 looks to play in various positions around the midfield both defensive and attacking to .. interesting 🤔 Plays for the current Mexican champions 24 years
Vammooss! He’s a player. Totally dominated Tyler Adams last week vs USA and assisted for the Mexican first goal. A number of Ligue 1 clubs in France have been after him for sometime.
Now we see why the slight delay in recruitment, waiting for the Gold Cup and Club World Cup to finish to get top target players in.

This one really excites me. If this is the level of players we are going for, I can appreciate that transfers has been taking a while and, if we get the targets, we could be in for a ride this season. Hope we get him!
Kin ell. Someone told me we were watching the Gold Cup closely, but it was assumed US players were the target. I watched the final back and my word, he was impressive. As someone else said, he had the better of Tyler Adams all night.
My only thought is that he, like Jack Taylor, feels more of a box to box 8 than someone suited to a double pivot. But I could be wrong?

The club will be missing an opportunity if they don’t get in some Ipswich Luchador masks like this for example.
That Mexican league is the best league in the Americas .. above even Argentina and Brazil … MLS too of course. 😉 The traditional cliché of the championship being a physically tough league wouldn’t bother him as the physicality in Latin America on the pitch is x rated.

Wow! He looks fantastic. Ball winner, aggressive in the tackle and attacking the ball, great defence splitting passes, quick off the mark, makes things happen...

Maybe, but in the (admittedly tiny sample of the) video above, he did a lot of deep ball winning, solid tackling and tracking runners and put a couple of glorious long through balls along the deck, so totally capable of that role, but with the ability to step forward as well. We'll quite probably have the ability to let one of our deep midfielders go on a lot of forays next season, particularly with a Matusiwa type mopping up behind and a CB stepping forward like O'Shea did a lot towards the end of last season.

He sure does look a player. I try not to get too interested in spurious links, but he certainly wets the appetite. Wow
