Controversial ITFC opinions 12:25 - Apr 21 with 4701 views | Chutney | Anyone got any that seemingly aren't shared by the masses? I'll kick off: 1) Luke Woolfenden really isn't that good a footballer. 2) Jamie Clapham was massively over rated. Talk of him getting England recognition was madness. 3) John Stead rarely gets mentioned but he was brilliant for us. Excellent player.
Controversial ITFC opinions on 14:41 - Apr 21 with 1684 views | Dubtractor | 1) Christophe Berra was a carthorse. 2) Royle should have got us promoted with the squad he had in those first few years.

Controversial ITFC opinions on 13:56 - Apr 21 by Radlett_blue | Indeed. Was brought in by Keane to play on the right wing, but didn't seem to have the confidence or pace to beat his man. So he was converted by Jewell to a poor right back. No-nonsense Mick quickly saw the folly in that, so he went back to being an ineffective right winger. |
But as a right back rather than winger you get more brownie points if you get forward and occasionally beat your man and/or deliver a passable cross. When you have the same 25% success rate and you're supposed to be the raiding winger, it looks a lot worse.

Controversial ITFC opinions on 15:43 - Apr 21 with 1563 views | Wickwar_Blue | Manuel Thetis was an absolute donkey. Better suited to wrestling than football. I never rated Tommy Miller but then I hadn’t seen the past 10 years of Ipswich Town midfielders against which Miller looks like Maradona by comparison.

Imagine Thetis in this league, he makes some of the Rugby Union 2nd rows look like streaky bits of P1ss who couldn't win an argument against a wet paper bag. He would be the guvnor of this league. Isn't he some kind of scout around Marseille now or something?

That's incredibly controversial given how far we were off the play offs when he was sacked having been heavily backed in the transfer market.

I am beginning to go off you WD, but I think with a bit of help, perhaps some counselling, we should be able to get over this.

Based on what? We were 12 points from the play-offs when he got sacked. Would have been more but for the arrival of Gio whose impact was very big. He had wasted loads of money on the wrong players, some 'cheap' arrivals were awful too and our home form was really poor. And he hasn't succeeded anywhere else after departing. Controversial ITFC opinions on 17:34 - Apr 21 with 1462 views | Darth_Koont | More recent times stuff: — Spence was a useful RB who would have been fine alongside better defenders — We've rarely looked good playing with one winger let alone two so not sure why we're fixated on it - Jackson is our most dangerous player (but Keane could be)

No lynching. You're both wrong though. Jonno was a cracking striker but he couldn't make the step up to a higher level. Marcus Stewart on the other hand scored a hatful of goals in the Prem when he finally got there and was close to getting in the England squad. I love Jonno, loved watching him here, but Stewart was clearly the superior striker.
