Excluding Tony dinning on 11:21 - Oct 13 by ParisBlue | Vemund Brekke Skard is the correct answer to this question. |
Beat me to it. Absolutely no competition. The others listed could passably been seen as bad professional footballers, but how Skard ever made it into the professional game is a total mystery. I remember seeing him in a warm-up when he couldn't pass or control the ball. I felt embarrassed for him. He looked like a competition winner totally out of his depth.

Excluding Tony dinning on 09:39 - Oct 13 by Kropotkin123 | It is harsh to give it to someone like Mark Fish, who played one game badly. I think someone who was consistently poor is better. Jonas Axeldal? 26 games and no goals as a striker |
For a player that played more than a few games it has to be Darren O'Dea. He was the worst player I've witnessed lay for Town Seems he retired only age 32 and not due to injury. That explains a lot. I hope his coaching is better than his playing

actually, Skard is a good shout....but i'm not sure he was actually a professional footballer. We just somehow gave him a contract!! If Bluefish had said he was technically better than Skaard he might actually have a point

O'Dea was pony.. to think we let David Wright go so we could have O'Dea at RB (on loan)... Also Sam Parkin is right up there for me alongside Forster both a let down. Ulrich Le Pen perhaps but again harsh given he was crocked on debut. Sylvan Ebanks Blake another huge disappointment

Nigel Reo Coker was absolute poverty.

Amir karic always deserves a mention too. Went on loan to Palace, and they sent him back after one game. I think it was one game anyway...

Why does Ulrich Le Pen always get mentioned? I just commented elsewhere. He had a few minutes in which he looked lively and then snapped his leg. Not really comparable to the dross that put in repeatedly poor performances some of which didn't even look like footballers

Saw him at a friendly against Grays, he came on as a sub and was subbed 10 minutes later for being that bad in a friendly against a non league side! ( should note that they did play with 12 for most of the 2nd half as the ref hadn't noticed until one of the Town fans wondered over to the benches and shouted at the 4th official to count the number of players Grays had! )

Excluding Tony dinning on 12:39 - Oct 13 with 1621 views | SouperJim | Not the worst, but some notable mentions:- Ivan Campo. Undoubted ability, but totally past it when he came to us. I've never quite got over him being applauded by all 4 stands for managing to "recover" and only concede a throw-in after he had lost the original ball. Connor Salmon, near zero impact and for a target man had a 50p coin for a head, it would practically ping off him to the corner flag for an opposition throw/goal kick every time he headed it. Also, why has nobody has mentioned Jonathan Douglass yet?

Apparently he was a really good opera singer - gives credibility to the wrong profession thing

Bit harsh. Most were 5 minute cameos. All sub appearances. For me, John Scales was poor.

Excluding Tony dinning on 13:23 - Oct 13 with 1552 views | Warkystache | A few for the older posters amongst us: Michael Cole - striker, no control, made Mich D'Avray look like Ian Rush. Chris O'Donnell - one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. What the f*ck John Duncan was thinking... Glenn Pennyfather - perennial sub. Even that was above his abilities. But my all-time most disappointing given his pedigree and youth was Trevoh Chalobah. Destined to never play for Chelsea and will probably end up in the Dutch third division.
