Sunderland predictions 09:57 - Nov 3 with 2891 views | cleggo | What do we think for tonight? Personally, although I'd be frustrated whilst watching, I'd probably be more than happy to come away with a bad performance and a point in the bag - especially considering the players available for this one and the lengthy travel etc. Can't see us getting a win, but would be a real statement of intent if we were to pick up 3 points
Sunderland predictions on 10:03 - Nov 3 with 2864 views | SomethingBlue | Narrow defeat as they aren't the most free-flowing but should be able to get a stranglehold on our midfield and take things from there. Anything else and I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Sunderland predictions on 10:06 - Nov 3 with 2848 views | Warkystache | 0-3. We go nuts. Judge, Hawkins and a late stunner from Dobra.

Sunderland predictions on 10:21 - Nov 3 with 2807 views | Oldsmoker | 0-0 for most of the game right up to the point where Lambert makes subs and changes the system to hold on to a point. 2-0 to them at the end.

Sunderland predictions on 10:22 - Nov 3 with 2804 views | Chrisd | If we do get a draw it's a good result regardless of the performance. Nevertheless, I do feel that the Mackems will beat us 2-1.

I hope I’m wrong but 2-0 Sunderland, sadly.
Sunderland predictions on 10:25 - Nov 3 with 2793 views | FrimleyBlue | Ipswich start well. But after 5 minutes it's all Sunderland. Second half Sunderland have 20 shots wide. 5 saved by holy. We then nick a win with an Edwards bottom right corner goal. Lambert then says how amazing we were for the whole game.

Take that, to be fair. I'm going 1-1. All fixtures aren't born equal and I don't think we need to go up to Sunderland on a wet Tuesday night in November and try and pass the leather off the ball to be honest. It's about results, and I wouldn't be adverse to us going a little more direct tonight, which gives us the benefit of starting both Hawkins and Jackson as a front 2. Get him running in behind off Hawkins flick ons. Edwards and Lankester can bring energy and ability to tuck in a bit narrower in the wide roles in a midfield 4. Central midfield is the question mark, as I would be nervous about Andre in a 2. Perhaps an opportunity to go with Judge & Huws and given Andre a rest, Judge doing the graft and Huws sitting slightly, but ultimately bypassing them more often than not going forward. Back 5 unchanged. Suits Holy more too. Gives us the option to switch it back to 4-3-2-1 with the same personnel, Lankester coming inside into a 3 and Jackson into one of the wide roles.

Sunderland predictions on 10:47 - Nov 3 with 2742 views | Keno | I'm going to say it will end Sunderland 6 Town 7 Town will have a late injury scare and call on Phil Ham to play right back there will be a pitch invasion by seagulls mid way through the first half that's stops play for 15 mins An alien UFO will be seen to hovver over the stadia at half time then a last minute winner fluke winner when Grant Legbitter strikes a penalty so hard it rebounds off the cross bar and fly all the way down the pitch to be an own goal PRP will claim afterwards he saw that happen once before when he played in Germany ] Def Info!!!

There's a few on here that would have a nibble on this at 8/1.

Sunderland predictions on 10:53 - Nov 3 with 2725 views | cleggo | I have to say, I do have concerns over the midfield. Huws is a must tonight, in my opinion
Sunderland predictions on 11:02 - Nov 3 with 2687 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | 2-0 to Sunderland, probably cagey first 20 where we miss a half chance. Sunderland to score and take the stuffing out us, never look like getting back into it and game is killed off in the last 15 with a second for Sunderland.
| |
Sunderland predictions on 11:03 - Nov 3 with 2681 views | Kieran_Knows | I can tell you now how it's going to go; Sunderland will be sh*t, and if we were even half at the races, we'd beat them comfortably. But Town being Town, we'll be as equally as sh*t, and end up losing 1-0 in what will be the drabbest game of the season.

Sunderland predictions on 11:16 - Nov 3 with 2630 views | IpswichKnight | 2-0 Sunderland, they will dominate our midfield, Hawkins will be isolated and the midfield will come deeper and deeper to get the ball and we’ll only end up hooofing it to Hawkins who will the odd header. Sears will be as useful as a chocolate fire guard and Edwards will be on the wrong wing.
Sunderland predictions on 11:16 - Nov 3 with 2627 views | pointofblue | 1-0 defeat. I think I’m being unusually optimistic.

Sunderland predictions on 11:23 - Nov 3 with 2606 views | jayessess | Both teams are the same as last season, so something similar to that presumably.

Sunderland predictions on 11:48 - Nov 3 with 2536 views | Fixed_It | Town win. It might be close, but we will win. Maybe.

Sunderland predictions on 11:56 - Nov 3 with 2514 views | StochesStotasBlewe | I'm bucking the trend and going for a sneaky 2-1 win for Town tonight.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

I think Phil is a Left Back, otherwise spot on.

I prefer to see Hawkins turn like an articulated lorry and lumber after his own flick-ons, personally.
Sunderland predictions on 12:46 - Nov 3 with 2412 views | xrayspecs | Bluefish will moan about Edwards
Sunderland predictions on 12:48 - Nov 3 with 2401 views | Sarge | If we play this side mentioned in other threads then I think we may well win. If we persist with Sears and play Edwards the wrong side to accommodate him then I don’t think we’ll get anything. Holy Chambers, Woolfenden, McGuinness, Ward Bishop, Dozzell, Huws Jackson, Hawkins, Edwards It has to be this, anything else is a downgrade
