I think, rather depressingly, I might well be completely done with ITFC. I'm certainly right on the brink. The club is rotten to the core and is not the same club I've supported my whole life. The manager appears to be a rather nasty piece of work, Evans just doesn't care, and O'Neill is happy to defend it all. Nobody at the club has the fans at heart. I don't know that anyone has much care for the players either. It's all about preserving the hierarchy. If ever a football club epitomised these modern days of Trump and Johnson, it's ITFC. Thanks. It's also worth pointing out that I have a press card and have worked as a freelancer for other media since 1996, currently for the Colchester Evening Gazette. But for the pandemic I would also still be working for the BBC. I'm also an NUJ member.
I dispute the 'fanzine' or 'fansite' tags as what I don't write myself is written by other professional journalists, who we pay, most of whom have written for national newspapers, same with photographers. In hindsight, we probably should have changed the name of the site when it became the mainly news site to something more newsy. |

I'm not quite there yet, but not far off. Wrote earlier that I'm almost at the stage where a phoenix club created & run by fans would attract me more. I bought into ITFC back in the 70's because of how the Cobbolds ran things. All that good spirit has gone under ME. |  |

It really only is blind loyalty and hope that is keeping me interested at this point - if I removed the emotional attachment I have, I don't think I would have a logical reason if I was being totally true to myself as to why I'd continue to go to match days when things reopen fully (not a ST holder).Especially as it seems a Covid/Brexit induced recession is around the corner so the purse strings will have to be tightened.
If they start losing loyal, diehard fans they won't have anyone left before they know it - why would any kid choose to support ITFC? You'd have to be mad too... |  | | |

If the problem is with the leaks on the site, then why still allow freelancers for TWTD into pressers?

I've always defended Evans to an extent because despite him generally being useless he has had to foot the bill for that.
However not stepping in and ensuring Phil was apologised to and everything brought back on track is disgusting and negligent towards the club and fans.
I've not really attended games for some time and there were seasons I barely paid attention but this forum actually helped me form some sort of level of interest again so to see it treated with such disrespect is hard for me*

That’s painful to listen to - after his dismissal of Phil all I could get from that, reading between the lines, is Lambert could remain as manager even if we fail to make the top six.
