The piece of information that no one has picked up on is that Ryan was fostered by a Police Officer, which supposedly inspired him to enter the Force.
Or maybe he was fostered by H (or someone close to H) and placed in the Force? |

Nah, it's the Chief Constable innit, he's her Dad I reckon. And also 'H'. It's becoming increasingly clear that the corruption is from the very top - how & who else could have organised the ambush of the prison van last night in such a short space of time; and why else would he make a decision to axe AC divisions by 90%?
Mind you, that chiselled lump of granite the (Chief Super?) female who keeps dragging Hastings into her office to warn him, is more than a bit suspect too - wouldn't be surprised if it's her that's Jo's Mum & 'H', nor if it turns out that she's shagging the sinister local councillor.

There's been a suggestion it's him for the last couple of series now...which probably means it isn't!
What about the suggestion that Arnott's involved too? That bit after the ambush when he was trying to interview the solicitor, who refused to talk, then almost pleaded with Arnott to make it clear, to 'someone' that he hadn't talked...then he's knocked-off as soon as he gets back inside. |  |

After a bit of digging I think we’ve been barking up the wrong trees.
Tommy Hunter, ACC Hilton would all have been 14 when Jo was born, could be her brother but doubt it.
John Corbett was born a few months after Jo so unless they have the same Dad but different Mums.
I’m mega suspicious of Chloe she spotted that Range Rover like Jo spotted the van and I thought Jimmy Lakewell was talking to someone in the room when he told Steve that he never talked. | | | |

I’m with you. Also note how she claimed she couldn’t reach the door, then the lady who did got shot. All very shifty. I do think that spot of the Range Rover was a bit dodgy. She’s defo not 100% | |
