Judge and one other have gone. (n/t) on 16:50 - Apr 15 by chicoazul
He said the AFC game would define our season. So I assume they have now given up hopes of the play offs and are focusing on the few players who will be here next year.

Having said that over the past 2 seasons he's our 3rd best for goals + assists, behind only Jackson and Norwood. He's not been a cut above this division, which is what we signed him as, but he's quietly been our most effective attacking midfielder.
Yes, this is just about how I see it.
He has/had the ability and experience to dominate in this division and he very rarely has so to that extent he has been a disappointment but, as you say, he has been better than a few here.

That gives a false impression, because he has played a lot over that time, whilst others have not.

I would be a little surprised if that's true. His contract is up in the summer and I don't expect us to take the option on him, but when we've still got an outside sniff of the playoffs it would be a bit odd.

I think his quality on the ball has left a lot to be desired at times. Basic passes, set pieces etc. He's certainly not the only one, but he should be someone we looked to as one of our top performers when you consider his experience and likely salary. For periods this season he's got going and looked decent, but not consistently over his time here. The fact he's been one of our better players this season says a lot about the rest
What I would say about him is he's always remained professional and put a shift in, which should be a given but clearly isn't elsewhere in the squad. We've seen our bottle jobs get cheap red cards, down tools and be unavailable for selection. Judge has always looked like one of few actually bothered about the outcome, despite what's gone on in his private life. He's a good bloke, one of a handful I would have a pint with but not one we'll lose much sleep over losing from a footballing perspective. One of many that'll move.

He certainly hasn't lived up to the expectation. He was meant to make a difference in the Championship after all. Despite that, I still think he's been one of our better players this season. Or rather at least he's tried. He's covered every blade of grass at PR.
I'm clutching at straws a bit, as yes ultimately he's done very little in the attacking third. And I'd certainly agree he's been a disappointment compared to what we hoped from him.
I've just been shocked by how little quality he's shown on the ball. His legs have looked gone in terms of any kind of pace, but his touch and his passing have been really ropey. Covering every blade of grass is fine if you're a workhorse playing in the middle of the park, but when you're meant to be picking up pockets of space and creating for the strikers, even getting beyond them at times, I'm not sure how helpful it is that he's playing a 5 yard one-two with Nsiala and then Ward.

He's the only midfielder who has played regularly over the past 2 seasons. He's probably only one or two goals ahead of Bishop in likely twice as many appearances. Stats are really not Judge's friend when you consider the licence he's been given during the time he's been here.

Am I sensing you're maybe not his biggest fan? No posters up in your bedroom?

He seems like a good guy, but given what was expected of him and what we're probably paying him he's been awful. Look, we've horribly lacked creativity and any kind of dynamism over the past 2 years and Judge has been a consistent feature in attacking roles over that time. Of course it's not all his fault, but he's rather symptomatic of what a failure we've been as a creative force.

He's been one of our liveliest more attacking midfielders. Not a lot of end product, but the effort's been there. Not sure what that says about the rest.
I’d agree he’s certain been better, but being better than sht just doesn’t do it for me

I would be sorry to see him go. I think he is the only one who can come out of this season with any credibility.
