They know about football here (usually Liverpool)

I don't care what level it's at if you gone to enough games you'd have to be a complete eejit not to know something about the game.

The ball is round and it's usually played for 90 minutes.

That's my take from watching Town over the last little while.

Will update this with more info when I have it.

When (club) management say they’re “building an identity” or “building a culture” when what they mean is “running things properly”. Culture is not a business process.

Actually I disagree with that. Culture is very much a business process. It’s a vital aspect of collective performance. And not the same as having other more functional processes in place, which you also need.

It’s important whether it’s a traditional business or a sports team. So probably even more in a professional sporting environment like a football club.

X gave 110% (substitute for any percentage above 100).

No they didn't. Either they have put in the effort (training, conditioning, psychology, etc) where it means they can now reach 100% they, or you, previously didn't think was attainable or they haven't been performing at 100%, when your prior perceptions indicated they were.

Furthermore, we are now in the ridiculous situation where people are self aware that receiving praise that X gave 110%, that this is no longer a good enough baseline for some to give praise, so people feel like devaluing percentages even more by says 120%, 150%, etc.
