Kieffer - pretty severe back spasm, not able to do anything thus far. Knowing Kieffer, not given up on some involvement, but at the moment doubtful. Nothing long-term.

If Moore is fit for the bench, he starts IMO. I don't see Moore as an impact sub whatsoever, personally.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Kieffer on the bench and replace Ali with 20 to play.

My guess would be.

I know Luongo got the runaround against Downes, Aribo and that other fella, but I think he has the motor (with Morsy) to handle Sarah and whoever else they might have in there. I think that regular pairing starts because it's so well oiled and solid against standard Championship midfields, and Taylor comes in again for a good long spell second half.

He's never going to play 60 minutes with a locked up back on the Thursday, never mind 45, but he might get 20 or so, and we don't have many other options.

....and its just a guess... KMc isn't waiting on my instructions.
[Post edited 4 Apr 2024 14:51]

I guess the worry is though if you bring him on for half an hour and he pulls up 10 minutes later then we're really stuffed in the end part of the game. If he's a bit touch and go but feeling alright to play I'd probably err on the side of starting him, get your strongest XI out at the start and try to get the game won (or on the way to it at least). If the worst happens and he pulls up after 10 minutes, at least we've then got Al-Hamadi to come on for him.

Who gives a stuff about Rowe? He's hardly Ronaldo. If he plays, so be it. He just happened to score a couple of goals against us. He's not the next Huckerby.

Just praying Moore is available. We desperately need that focal point.

Who gives a stuff about Rowe?… I mean kid the only created something out of nothing at PR and scored twice. But no, let’s pretend he’s sht shall we 😂

Oh come on. He did nothing else apart from score the two goals. It's not like he ran us ragged the full 90.

By the sounds of it he's not yet fit anyway, so it's a moot point.

He's had a great season to be fair and probably won't be a Norwich player next season. Other than the two goals I barely noticed him but that's like saying I barely noticed that typhoon other than when it took my roof off.

In a game where you didn’t notice him he scored two goals… so just for a moment imagine he turned it on and played well.

I’m all up for disliking ncfc players, but sometimes you need to say fair play he’s decent, and hope he’s not fit

Fair play he is decent, I was thinking of him as the Danny Haynes of Norwich, so extremely glad he’s not playing, as he looked well up for beating us .

No, I genuinely don't lie awake at night and fear facing Jonathan Rowe.

In fact, I don't fear any of this Norwich team anymore. I used to. That's the difference. The fear factor has gone.

"He did nothing else apart from score the two goals" - given the match finished 2-2 and he effectively denied us all 3 points, I'd say he made a pretty big contribution to the outcome of the game, mate.

We were great with Ali up front on Monday!!

It could be the making of Al-Hamadi, at least we will have had a week to train for the game

What I'd say is we definitely don't hold the ball up as well with Al-Hamadi although he makes our fast breaks more effective so there's pluses and minuses to him

The graphics on the prematch interviews on TownTV suggest it's the home kit. They've always matched up for previous games.

Too right too but he is in their top three players, so very much in our interest for him to miss the game.

Agree with Herbs that we'd be best starting Moore if he's fit enough to be involved, to avoid the double-sub risk as much as anything else.

I mean I can’t say I lay awake thinking about it.

But given the choice you’d certainly hope their best (possibly) player, and one that has already scored Vs us twice, thus causing a draw in a one sided affair, will miss the game.

Ok, I'm not Phil but I think that's possible. He hasn't had the same zip. However, by his own admission after Sheff Weds he said his body was tired which it may well be but it's unusual for a player (even an inexperienced one) to publicly admit it.

He's more effective at pressing than Moore is as well.

From what I've seen of his character so far, think al-Hamadi would do very well in that situation.

Perhaps not ideal (better out wide), but Jackson could fill in up top if necessary. Maybe Buabo gets a spot on the bench again?

Anyone know how Buabo's recovery's progressing? Bit worrying that he's not been on the bench (iirc) for the last two. We could really do with him now, considering the depletions to our usual starters and finishers, even if it's only for the last 15 mins.

I doubt Buabo is considered for the first team bench when almost everyone else is fit. We usually only have one out and out striker on the bench and then other versatile forward options.

He's not featured for the U21s for a few fixture so it looks like there's been a setback with hi rehabilitation.
