Been a very good servant to the club, always gave 100% even when managers treated him appallingly. When McKenna showed him a bit of love, you could see him really flourish and he's made some important contributions to our success over the last 2 years. I wish him nothing but good luck for the rest of his career.

He will have seen an entire transformation of the club. From the horrors of the Evans era to where we are now.

Feeling a bit sad. Not the best footballer but always dependable when doing the business for McKenna.

Well said. Always seemed to carry himself well too, even when he wasn't extended that respect by certain managers.

I hope he finds a club where he'll play plenty of football over the next few years. I'll predict one of the following:

Wrexham
Pompey
Oxford

Could actually see a QPR or Wednesday come in for him. Both clubs with similar managers to McKenna who will like coachable players who can press and are quick in the transition, neither side has much money to spend. Could be ideal for someone like that.

Wednesday would make sense, back to that neck of the woods and staying in the Championship is likely attractive. Middling to lower Champs I would think, hence thinking Pompey and Oxford. Should join Edwards and Leigh, get the gang back together.

With us during the worst of times, with us during the best of times.

Great servant and a union that’s reached its natural conclusion.

So pleased for him that his time here ended in success because at times it wasn’t always likely. Will always be welcomed back and will follow his career from now on. Good Luck KJ

Probably the right decision, a sensible reaslistic one but i'm surprisingly sad about it and just a little bit of me wanted to see him have a few PL minutes. He would have deserved it but not much room for sentiment in football which it would have been.

Well done Town for making a difficult but right decsion.

Probably fair to say that he's a Championship footballer with a Champions League attitude.

Absolutely wish him the best.

Incredible to think he's partnered or played alongside Drinan, Keane, Parrott, Pigott, Harrison, Norwood, Bonne, Hirst, Moore for the same club.

Top 6 League 1 level IMO.

Top 6 in League 1 and bottom 6 of the Championship is perfectly interchangable.

Jackson didn't let us down at all on many occasions in the Championship. Therefore, he's a Championship standard player.

Jackson proved to be a real asset to us. 6 seasons - a good professional. He’s better ‘live’ than he looks on tv. A 100%er, under McKenna and with a bit of confidence, his overall game improved significantly. That just shows how poor McKenna’s predecessors were.

It was right to keep him for last season. Goals against Stoke, Preston and Sunderland and did everything asked of him. Is it right to let him go now? Yes.

He will always be welcome back at the club and given his age and good level of fitness, he should be able to enjoy a fruitful career for a good few years yet.

it's like when you move to a new house - as you shut the door on the old one you can only feel sad.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

Gave his all whenever called upon. I would have kept him I think, but I wish him all the very best for the future. A mid to top Championship squad will snap him up I'm sure. You go with my very many thanks. Best of luck mate.

I said last year that Kieran will encourage players and get the best out of them, but ultimately knows what level they are capable of. Like Edwards.

It speaks volumes that KJ spoke so highly of Mckenna.

Good luck KJ. I hope you do well wherever you end up. I cant pretend to be that upset but I respect the effort you put in when called on.

Got unnecessary pelters from some here, but was always a model pro from what I could see.
Perhaps inevitable he was on his way, but doesn't make it easier to see him go.
I think he'll do well wherever he goes and I hope he picks up a decent team.
Him and JD are our longest serving players and they act as the bridge between the bad times and where we are now.
I genuinely wish him all the best with his future career.

Wish him well wherever he ends up. Never let us down, and put up with some bloody terrible managers. Love that his career here got a bit of a resurgence under McKenna, and hope he can go and get regular football elsewhere.
