He used to read out a story mailed in by a listener of woe, with some doleful dreary tune played over the top of it at the same time every morning. It was always on the radio in the place I had my first job. So must be 90s actually. I don’t think I’ve ever thought of it again until I saw libero’s suggestion. | |
