I’d imagine he’s one who would be willing to wait for Premier League interest as well as it’s been rumoured. Last two weeks now and players who are 3rd & 4th on bigger clubs lists realise that the role they hoped too get with them has now been filled by their targets higher up. Lots of bigger deals for all clubs will get done in these two weeks, it’s almost a mini transfer window in itself. |  |

We have a big chunk of money now as well and I think after seeing the squad for the first 2 games we will wanting to be bringing in some real quality who are ready to go straight away.

Not sure how much we could in theory spend under the financial rules - lots I assume - but leaving those rules aside for a moment it feels like there's a risk the club's owners don't want to spent this window and instead want the club's finances to be as attractive as possible for new investors. How do you know what HH told us, do you have it on good authority or that is your interpretation of previous rejection? Do you know it was a no to US or was it no I want to go to PL as his agent his told him an offer will come.

The first sees Barbrook go out on loan, a 2nd then Humphreys goes. If an U21 addition maybe Humphreys stays until Jan to make up the 25 and provide additional LB cover.
Forwards: Clarke, Philogene, Szmodics, Chaplin, Akpom, Ogbene, Burns, Hirst, Azon is 9, or 8 in the near term with Burns injury. Agree with you with Akpom's versatility I think we're done at #9 when Azon joins. 1 more addition, probably right / 10 Omari replacement.

Lots of ability in those highly-stocked forward areas but it all looks a bit mercurial and ... flimsy ... to me, it doesn't feel quite right. Maybe I'll be proved spectacularly wrong, let's hope so. | |

Well we only practically have one loan spot left now - I know we can have more than 5 but can't see we will want to do that and leave one out of the squad each week. Therefore, we are going to have to do a couple of chunky permanent deals now you would think to get the required quality in. Not sure we go big on another 9 after signing Azon, but still need another 10 and a CM for sure.
