Does anyone else feel Omari 21:18 - Sep 18 with 6541 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Is being really poorly advised? Not sure if it’s by his agent or by the media team building his ‘brand’. He posted a really evocative ‘hero’ type image to his insta story of him walking out against Swansea. Considering they lost to two injury time goals it seems incredibly poorly timed, especially when the Forest fans will still be, understandably low about it.

Does anyone else feel Omari on 22:34 - Sep 18 by olimar | Given hes their record signing, I suspect they are pretty keen to know what/when they can see the justification for that fee. |
Yeah, that’s a totally fair point. They’ll understandably be interested in seeing a return on their investment. I just can’t see their fans feeling ‘low’ (OP’s word) about losing to Swansea in the League Cup. I’d be amazed if the video he’s posted has even been discussed by their fans. He got an assist, they’ve got a new manager, and he did better than some of their regulars last night. And I think the video is lame. But if you buy Omari Hutchinson…

Does anyone else feel Omari on 22:40 - Sep 18 by Hugoagogo_Reborn | This. His attitude/life goals are not aligned with how we operate. Once he had decided to down tools, that was pretty evident. Wish him well, but we need more committed players. |
Football is a pretty cutthroat industry with young footballers cast aside without much thought by their clubs if they don’t make the grade. And it works the other way round as well - with this in mind, I’m sure KM will probably be a lot more understanding of Omari’s decision to leave than the average Ipswich fan. I wish he didn’t down tools and that he left on good terms but that’s football. I don’t wish him any malice and hope that he develops into an amazing footballer - England will benefit and hopefully we’ll get a cut of any profits Forest make in him.

You're not wrong but KM made known his disappointment over the behaviour that preceded (and/or forced) his departure, which we'd do well not to normalise imo. It may well prove the blueprint going forward unfortunately mind, given all three succeeded this summer while a model pro like Guehi was left without his move. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Does anyone else feel Omari on 22:56 - Sep 18 by Coastalblue | Obviously we don't know the truth of it, but the story is that he was a long way down the wage scale here and probably not earning the (relative) fortunes many think. |
I think we do know the truth, being that is nonsense. He's our record signing and was coming from Chelsea.

Does anyone else feel Omari on 21:22 - Sep 18 by Marshalls_Mullet | Not in the slightest. I have no malice towards him either. But he's an adult and has to take responsibility for his own decisions. |
Agree totally with this. If he chooses to delegate decisions to his Agent, he still owns them and has to live with them - the good and the bad. For me, it was a pleasure to watch him play and to develop at such an astounding rate. Thinking of the legion of dross we had to endure under Evans’ ownership, I never thought I’d see a player like that again in an ITFC shirt. He was always going to be staying in the Premiership. He’s too good for the ham and egg Championship. However, I was surprised he went to Forest. I thought he’d go to a club in the south such as Palace or Fulham. I was also surprised in the manner in which he left. Without knowing the full story it looked unprofessional. Sore throats and all that nonsense - he downed tools. Not good. I know Szmodics did the same thing and I don’t agree with that either. In any form of employment you should give your best to the day you leave in my view. But it’s done now. No malice from me, though. Just good memories of his time here. We move on. [Post edited 19 Sep 12:19]

Does anyone else feel Omari on 21:34 - Sep 18 by ReusersTown | I really don't think it would have been too much difference. With him perceived as a squad option for them and a star for us |
He's a club record signing for a team in Europe... there would be a very significant difference in his 25/26 wages now versus staying at Ipswich, surely?!
Does anyone else feel Omari on 14:17 - Sep 19 with 695 views | BloomBlue | Nope, as Enzo Maresca just said about Sterling, its not like his a fisherman working from 2am to 10am every day. All Omari has to really worry about is does he stick with his current Lamborghini or buy another one.

Does anyone else feel Omari on 01:02 - Sep 19 by Everydayblue | Yeah, I mean its not as if we were on our knees and needed him? KM did a lot to improve Omari. His first few games he was all over the place. He became a much more rounded player with a better work ethic under KM's guidance... The way he played out the last month or so, with Mickey Mouse sore throats, was appalling and traitorous behaviour, imo.... Only reason I'd like him to do well, is so that we might get a few more quid with a sell on clause. Hopefully we've gained a much better person, in Egeli, with the profit from Omari's sale. I'd hate to see Omari back here. I feel quite strongly about that. Anyone that sh1ts on our club and KM, can do one.... Didn't see Mateus Fernades at Saints, down tools. He helped Saints get a few points on the board before the window closed. |
I’ve read these posts but let’s face it he is no longer a town player so apart from the financial side, I’m not that bothered. Won’t bother to read anymore.

No. It's a forum, it'll be a pretty poor one if we only discuss what people think we are 'allowed' to discuss. If you don't like it, you don't have to get involved.

I’m not sure how many of our current players would be “ committed “ if a better team came along paying better money. It’s easy to be committed when the options are not there.

Does anyone else feel Omari on 00:48 - Sep 19 by football | Whilst I don’t want him to fail, I do want him to realise how it’s not as simple as he thinks and he isn’t the best thing since sliced bread. He’s gone from a top player in a club to having to fight for a place and I think it’s a good thing for his arrogance to be knocked down. At the end he treated this club and KMK with disdain and that does not sit right with me, so at this time I wont wish him the best. |
There is absolutely no way you you know he thinks/thought it would be simple or that he's the best thing since sliced bread. He wants to max his career. Omari has aways talked about and given the sense he wants to be the best footballer he can be and achieve things in the game. I'm ok with that. The only part I didn't like was the not playing. I can understand it but it wasn't right.

Does anyone else feel Omari on 23:06 - Sep 18 by Nutkins_Return | He's very very ambitious and football is a short career. He should have made himself available and I don't like it but I do understand it. Miles too early to judge his decision. The lad wants to play for England and be a top premier player and he's shooting for that even if he doesn't make it I can respect his ambition. This thread feels like people want him to fail. He would've got his move without going on strike. He was happy to take the adulation from many fans who earn less in a year than he was on in a week. He won't be an England regular, he's nowhere near that level and never will be. The way he treated this club makes me 100% your third paragraph.

I agree. I thought Brentford was a natural fit for him, with Mbuemo going. Was surprised that deal did not happen. I am sure his agent was pushing for him to move, more money to be made that way rather than take a cut on Omari's fairly limited wage at Ipswich. And I suspect Omari has been over-trusting of his agent and let's face it agents are business men first, career advisors a distant second. I thought he was anonymous for us a lot of last season, Whether playing in a better Prem side will enable him to play better and make more impact, time will tell. I hope so. It is still early days.
