I actually like the way he puts himself about, he doesn't look 100% fit yet but the lad is trying and playing with total strangers. Like I don't think we should be shocked with all the changes last night the link up wasn't always there. They were also fairly physical. |  |

Wasn't a great night for him yesterday but he was industrious and didn't give defenders a minute. He's a little terror of a striker with good touch and he puts his body on the line to score goals.

By that, could you pull out some positives from what you have seen, whilst asking what others see in Azon?
For example: the below asks a similar question but the framing of the question is different...

As we've seen with Hirst, the centre forward in a McKenna team is not brought in to be a 20+goal a season 'fox in the box' striker, it's more about the all over link play with the attacking options around him. I remember an early interview with Hirst, where he said he was happy with his performances despite a lack of goals, because the manager had told him that he was doing exactly what he wants him to do, & the goals will come.
There was plenty of discussion on here about how Delap wasn't really a good fit for this side, despite his excellent goal return, in the Premier League, because he was too selfish & it affected the general play & success of the team.
The club has tracked Azon for some time & the manager wanted/wants him in his squad due to the attributes he has.
I like the look of him & think he'll come good. He is a marked upgrade on Ali. | | | |

He's young, he's moved to a new country and in to a very difficult league, arguably the hardest level he's played at. Like Egeli he'll need time to adapt and adjust.
There might be questions around whether going into the season with only 2 out and out 9's including him is / was the right call, but that's not on Ivan. Personally I would've liked some additional and more proven competition for the role, but we are where we are. |
I think that’s the issue. There’s been huge clamour over the summer to spread the recruitment network and here is one downside…the need for time and patience. These arguably are going to be in short supply when you’ve been signed as next in line to our main striker. We really need someone in that role who can hit the ground running. I just cant see him atm getting that run of games until Hirst gets injured.
