| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … 09:24 - Feb 26 with 2364 views | ringwoodblue | even when Davis is fit again? I’m pretty confident McK will bring Leif back asap but just interested in others thoughts. | |

According to 'Internet' rumours Davis and McKenna have had a lovers tiff and Davis will never wear the blue shirt of Ipswich again. In other news, Davis will start against Swansea on Saturday.

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 09:48 - Feb 26 with 1797 views | Rimsy | We were much more solid against Watford. Think we may see Greaves utilised more often away from home, Davies a shoe in at PR. | |

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 09:51 - Feb 26 with 1767 views | SitfcB | No. Davis’ name is concreted onto the team sheet unless injured or suspended. (Though sounds like he could be a doubt for Saturday anyway going by what McKenna said after Watford) | |

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 10:27 - Feb 26 with 1615 views | OldFart71 | It might be an idea for Davis to play home games and Greaves away as we need to be a bit more physical away from home. It will be interesting to see what happens Saturday if Davis and Furlong are both unavailable. | | | |

I agree except, I would just play Davis further up the pitch. He's grim defensively.

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 12:16 - Feb 26 with 1274 views | Rozz | Sounds like he might get another game there based on KM's talk of a heavy knock to Davis' knee. He's an able deputy, but I'm not sure I'd like to see him at LB over a large sample size where his lack of pace on recovery might find him out. Neil and Matisuwa have to be right on their game to drop in behind if he goes forward. But my main point is that Cov and Watford are outliers in terms of the style of team we come up against every week in the Championship. No discredit to Greaves at all, but you'd prefer Davis there when we're trying to break down a stubborn defence. I do think he has shown he's a good option for rotation there though, particularly for closing out games or if we have an aerial mismatch with Davis and an attacker that's causing us issues. Throw him on! | | | |

Greaves every time. He blocks crosses better in defence. His screw back from the byline created Hurst's chested goal. Davis rarely gets to the byline and prefers to cut back inside. His corners are a little erratic, occasionally too long or too short. I also think that Greaves is more commited to the club.

"I also think that Greaves is more commited to the club." Heavens-to-betsy. Davis is in his fourth season her,e, and in the Summer made it clear he didn't want to move to the PL and signed a new contract with us. What on earth gives you the idea he is less committed to us than anyone else?

Seems a lot of you have short memories. Yes Greaves was decent at Watford but he was pretty rubbish in the same position at Sheff U. Always the way on here though, people seem to base everything on the last performance.

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 13:08 - Feb 26 with 1143 views | J2BLUE | Greaves did well. He's a good option but Davis has been very good for a long time so isn't going to lose his place. | |

| Does Greaves deserve to stay at left-back … on 13:12 - Feb 26 with 1128 views | BouncebackIpswich | I think Greaves is more suited to left back where his lapses in concentration are less costly but Davis is one of the first names on the team sheet so no. He's a good back up to have. | | | |

Those are quite some takes..... Do you have any evidence that Greaves is more committed to the club? Davis recently signed a new contract, if he wasn't committed he could have refused and gone for free. Claiming that Greaves has better distribution than Leif is probably one of the strangest football related views I've seen on here in quite some time. Davis has been one of our most creative outlets for many seasons. His corners are excellent. SB [Post edited 26 Feb 14:28]
